San Andreas is a fault line that is 800 miles long and 10 miles deep. The fault line goes from Northern California to Cajon pass.
What: San Andreas is a fault line
Where: From Northern California to Canjon Pass.
When: January,9th,1857 and April,18th,1906 was when the two major quakes happened. They were rated an estimated 8.3 on the richer scale
Over 700 people died during the 1906 earthquake. In 1906 the earthquake was felt all the way in Oregeon.
The two plates that create the fault line are the Pacific plate and the North American plate. They say the plates move 2 inches every year and 2 times 110 equals 220 inches every 110 years. Scientist say that every 110 years to 140 years a earthquake will happen along San Andreas fault and since the last one was in 1906 that means that San Andreas fault could go off any time now. San Andreas fault is 15 to 20 million years old.

Bibliography
Pubs.usgs.gov
wekimedia commons
