         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Greece had plenty of mountains. it made it hard for people to travel or farm.</p></li><li><p>The greeks were near a long coast line  and become great sailors and traders which helped them to travel the sea and trade with others.</p></li><li><p>There were not a lot of flat land in Greece which caused the farmers to farm less.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>They utilized their materials by trading goods like silver and tin.</p></li><li><p>Some Tyrants in certain cities gave farms to the landless and work to the unemployed.</p></li><li><p>Sent people overseas to establish new colonies and they did that in places with better farmland.</p></li><li><p>Colonies served many purposes for Greeks and they also allowed access to land and resources that are also not available to Greeks.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>They created democracy in Athens, where citizens could vote and help make decisions.</p></li><li><p>They started the olympic games,  which we still have today.</p></li><li><p>They built famous building like the Parthenon, using columns and detailed designs. </p></li></ul><p>The legacy of these achievements are their government helped shape democracy and their art and buildings inspire us.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Ancient Greek believed in many god, goddesses, wicked monsters, and heroes such as Odysseus and pic poems such as the Trojan war. Many stories were told. One of them was about a man from Odysseus and how he went on a great adventure and got on bad terms with the god of the sea Poseidon and ended up on an island and had to fight a cyclops and sail the seas with dangerous sirens.after his crew was lost and killed he luckily had Athena on his side and was able to make it home </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Greek city-states were all different and ruled themselves. One type of government was a monarchy, where one person was in charge. Another type was an aristocracy, where a small group of people ruled because of the mountains, city-states were separated, which made it hard for them to talk or work with each other. This affected how they grew and changed over time.</p>]]></description>
