No matter how many times Jeanette's dad screwed her over Jeannette always forgave him. When he stole her money to buy alcohol she forgave him every time. Jeannette whole life her mom just tells her to see the good in every situation. When she gets jumped at school she doesn't even tell her mom because she wasn't in the mood to hear her mom tell her to just see the good in it instead of trying to help her solve the problem. As a young kid Jeanette's dad always told her and her siblings that he was going to build them a glass castle to live in one day. They would fantasies about the house and how beautiful it was going to be.
