There was an understanding that we are all in various stages, but agree that our visions would include striving toward collective efficacy. We talked about how the various attributes may contribute to that, but revisited the core idea that collaboration is the bridge.

I loved talking with my group around building trust in groups. We are facing similar challenges and were able to dive deeper into the root of the problem.

It was reassuring to collaborate with teams from across the country, as we are seeing similar successes and facing similar challenges. Working together helps us streamline our commitment to change without having to reinvent the wheel.

Sharing with my group and listening to them share was an awesome way to gain new ideas to implement in my own role. It also gave me some vocabulary and shared language for some things I was feeling but couldn't quite put words to. Great to learn that others are experiencing similar things

The journey continues

Based on what we all shared we have similar lived experiences which is comforting. We also seem to have the same mindset as instructional leaders for our why and the need to shift on teaching and learning in the classrooms. We spoke about being human-centered and reflecting on our own practices including the impact and working through our challenges.

I appreciated learning that we are all making intentional moves to support those we work for. It can feel like we are continuing a system that feels difficult to change, but those small intentional moves and reflections do move those pegs forward.

Identify what you do that is truly making an IMPACT. If it's a time suck with little to no value added - why are you doing it? Having collaboration time with no clear leadership or purpose is a waste of time. Be intentional about your purpose, put systems in place to accomplish your goals, and constantly reflect on the steps taken along the way.

Communicate the importance of learning together and co-design. Prior expectations were to redeliver top-down plans or ideas, PCBL demands a different approach and for us to show up differently in that space.

We are always circling back to human-centered leadership. We are fostering those relationships with others to initial change or create impact on our campuses.

Reflection allows for possible growth to take place. By reflecting, we are able to move towards goals that not only better ourselves as leaders, but that will benefit our schools/districts.

So many interesting stories of challenges and how to approach them with empathy in order to make progress. I learned some questioning techniques to help in the collaboration process. Trust the process and build relationships first.
