Both are ruled by "a king with a large jaw"; England's queen is "plain," and France's is "fair." England is fascinated by spiritualism, and her American colonies are causing trouble. France is dealing with economic problems. Both countries are facing social problems. In England, no one is safe on the roads, everyone suspects everyone else of plotting to steal from them, and a warning is issued to families to store their furniture when they leave their houses so that they will not be robbed while they're gone.

Going home he stopped on a village and the villagers told him that there was a person under the coach that ran away, after that in the castle his nephew Charles Darnay arrived, from England, at the time to go to sleep the major bell started ringing and the people from the castle were running way.

Although he hardly notices Mr. Lorry, Dr. Manette is shocked to see his daughter, although he does not know who she is. He identifies his golden curls with the curls in a bag that he wears around his neck, as a souvenir of his forgotten wife, but he does not believe that it is her, the girl being so young and pretty. Touched, Miss Manette does not reveal her identity yet, but asks him to cry for the past evils that he, his mother and his daughter have suffered.

One day he was looking out the window and saw that the square below was carrying a giant stone. There were also people trying to sharpen their bloody knives and swords, and Lorry closed the window.
Then Pross came in and asked her son a question. He said yes and Lorry and started a discussion for a comment from Lorry.
The doctor did not return from La Force for a few days.
Days later the day of the trial summoned by Lucia and Dr. Manette hurried and went to the bank per as.

The narrator tells us that Monseigneur’s money corrupts everyone who touches it. Monseigneur parades around his guests briefly and then returns to his sanctuary. Miffed at Monseigneur’s haughtiness, one guest, the Marquis Evrémonde, condemns Monseigneur as he leaves. The Marquis orders his carriage to be raced through the city streets, delighting to see the commoners nearly run down by his horses. Suddenly, the carriage jolts to a stop. A child lies dead under its wheels. The Marquis tosses a few coins to the boy’s father, a man named Gaspard, and to the wine shop owner Defarge, who tries to comfort Gaspard. As the Marquis drives away, a coin comes flying back into the carriage, thrown in bitterness. He curses the commoners, saying that he would willingly ride over any of them. Madame Defarge watches the scene, knitting the entire time.
