WW2 Propoganda poster

For our propganda poster we chose the need to ration. This was very important in ww2 because citizens of society were expected to automatically give or ration there food In hopes to help soilder that might be in need. Things such as food, supplies, living space and more.

for the first part of our poster it is focused on who the citizens are giving there food and supplies to. A happy soilder eating a drum stick provided to him by a family household. This shows how people needed to give up supplies in support of the soliders all BECAUSE of the war.

The second part of our poster is a woman preparing food in a hurry for the soldiers. She herself is told to ration in case of encounters like this. Her showing how quickly she is preparing correlates with the meaning of the need to support the war and ration.

In shadows cast by fear and war's cruel hand,

Lies a tale of a people, displaced, unmanned.

In nineteen forty-two, a grave decree,

Sent Japanese Americans to internment, unfree.

Families torn from homes, lives uprooted,

Their spirits strong, though deeply wounded.

Barbed wire fences, guard towers tall,

A stark reminder of freedom's fall.

In desolate camps, under watchful eyes,

They held onto hope, beneath the skies.

In the face of injustice, they found strength,

In the midst of despair, they journeyed the length.

Children played amidst barracks of wood,

Dreaming of a world where all were understood.

Mothers and fathers, resilient and brave,

Kept the flame of their culture from the grave.

Years passed, the war came to an end,

But scars remained, time could not mend.

Yet from the darkness, a light did shine,

As voices rose, demanding justice, divine.

Apologies spoken, reparations made,

But the wounds of the past do not fade.

Let us remember this chapter, hard and bleak,

To honor the courage of those who did seek,

A path to a future, where all are free,

A world where justice reigns, for you and me.

In the story of Japanese incarceration,

May

The meaning behind this poem stems from the bombing of pearl harbor and how the people not responsible for it suffer from the backlash because of there race. Being moved out of there homes and cities or inprisioned if dont apply to the new rules fueled many heartache and disfortune for the japanese during this time

Emil J Kapuan was a us army captain known for his heroic acts of service during the korean war. During a battle against Unsan korea Emil set out through cross fire into no mans land to save the lives of his fellow soilders. This didnt happen not once but twice followingup with him staying behind to help to injured. His clear acts of both galluntry and selflessness saved the lives of so many along with sergent miller. This in my opinion is a substantail effort and he truly deserved to be given the medal of honor even after he parished. On November 1st 1950 Emil J Kapuan was giving the medal of honor.
