The waste material is placed in giant underground where it is isolated from the environment (groundwater, rain, air and animals) with a bottom liner and a top covering of soil.

Recycling - Recycling is based on the idea that used items can still be useful -- or provide useful materials. Not every type of material can be recycled. During the recycling process, materials are usually broken down (usually be melting) into their basic raw material (plastic, glass, metal etc.) and then formed into new products. The prefix re- in recycling means again, in this case meaning that the material will be made into some new again.

Composting - Composting is a process that works to speed up the natural decay of organic material by providing the ideal conditions for microorganisms to thrive.
