It makes the usually drab, sketchy alley way into a very bright colorful and fun piece of art. When people care to take care of their city, they feel a sense of community ownership. Because they work so hard to keep the ghetto beautiful, they feel ownership over the ghetto. Even the alley way's character was changed. It went from sketchy, to a work of art for the eyes. It gives somewhere that doesn't have much color the liveliness and spirit that it needs. When you think of a ghetto you think of homeless people, really gloomy, and lefless. Art changes this, it helps express what things are really about and gives you a new understanding. Places people might be scared to go to like an old alleyway get changed and replaced with a new vision, looking down an alley way thinking it would be dark and dirty and seeing color. Art can do so much but I feel like I can best describe it has expressing yourself. Artist look at something and change it to fit there imagination. I also really like this art and how it is really positive in the way that is a heart in nature. This also means a lot to me for the idea of others looking at the same art and adding on to it with their own ideas. It shows a real, living community in this part of the city.
