While in block center with a two friends and the teacher, the friends were sorting the blue and yellow legos into a pile. Sally was digging into the large pile of all legos and pulling out each yellow and blue. If they were together, she pulled them apart. As she pullled them out she sai d"Oh! Its a rectangle!". She mentioned she was trying to make a tower "up top" and lifted her hand up high in the air. The teacher prompted the kids to take turns to make a pattern. Sally said "We need to make blue, yellow, blue, yellow"... The friends took turns placing a new lego onto the pattern tower. They accurately did this for 3+ rounds. Each time Sally would say the pattern again "blue, yellow, blue, yellow".
