When you have one soccer ball that bumps into one that is sitting still it will make the soccer ball that it is not moving start to move. This is because the energy from the moving soccer ball transferred to the stationary soccer ball so it started moving. You transfer energy from potential energy to kinetic energy by when you store energy in your foot you are going to kick it and since the soccer ball is stationary. Then when you release the energy that is in your foot which released to the ball and causes the energy to be kinetic in the ball when it is transferred so it will move.

When you drop something it doesn't float because of gravity. Gravity pushes things down. Also when you kick a soccer ball it would go on forever if there wasn't gravity because when gravity pushes against an object it causes it to stop along with friction. Friction is also what can cause something to stop because friction is something that kinda rubs against the object causeing it to stop

For example if you have a box of legos and a lego brick, it takes less force to pick up the lego brick because it has less mass so that means more force more acceleration but since there is not a lot of mass you don't need a lot of force. But if you were trying to push the big box of legos it would take a lot more force because it has more mass.
