I was from a very rural, white K-12 school district and this was the first teacher I had who was African-American. With a tough subject like organic chemistry, he made it so fun and entertaining using a variety of methods to teach (especially during the peak of COVID in 2019-2020). Not only that, he was always available to help us understand the content as well as just be a listening ear for us.
