Students were in groups and each group was given three pictures: a person, an object and a place. They were supposed to describe the person - give them a name, age, occupation, to describe the place, giving also location, weather, use of the senses and also to describe the objects saying what they are, where they are from, how useful / valuable they are etc. When they are done with all these, they have to connect all the elements and create a story having that person as the main character, taking place in the place they have just described and the object being of main importance in their story. It worked just perfectly! For beginners, some guiding questions can be given.
