Day 2: Something that stood out to me was the program at Netatech as it really surprised me how much work it takes to maintain and improve an urban farm

Day 3: The thing that stood out the me the most has to either be the game or the talk that we had. It really taught me how we can never really have a balance of everything. There are many things that we are uncertain of but as long as we try our best to plan and pivot, we will eventually be able to improve.

being part of watch 2 showed me compassion, empathy, and how the love and selflessness of my now-new-family, is able to change my perspectives on what real leaders truly are. i have never felt a moment where i was in solitude or in isolation during my time here in OSLP.

what really amazed me was the ever-lasting and meaningful conversations that still linger in my heart. the thoughtful reflections, melodic laughters, and even sharing the silence, really spoke to me about a leader's accountability to others.

all of us here are student leaders of our own schools, but this programme has brought us to reunite true family. thanks.

day 2: Sustainability is way beyond the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle), it's about taking the first step to avoid, and making the cautious decision of responsibly disposing the waste.

day 3: I learnt that it's okay to not know what you want to do, the important thing is that you test the waters and stay curious (and of course do your very best)!

Through the learning journey to glass upcycling, i learnt how pretty small objects could be like glass bottles if we choose to take the step to make it nicer. I had many oppurtunities in the learning journeys to make new friends and interact with other watches which was very fun.

Furthermore, the camp was incredibly enjoyable as my watch is very fun to be with and its enjoyable to just talk with each other and have fun karoaking in the bus and doing the night quest and just getting ready everyday.

Overall, the camp is very enjoyable with gpod people to spend it with and the rich learning involved makes this camp a once in a lifetime experience that i would treasure.

what made watch 2 special is that everyone stepped up. everyone led in their own way. some led with strength, some with kindness, some with energy, and some just by being there when someone needed support. in watch 2, there wasn’t just one leader, everyone was a leader, and that’s what made our watch so strong.

i’m really grateful for every moment, every memory, and every person who made these 4d3n meaningful. thank you watch 2 for the friendship, the effort, and the heart.

On the second day, we learned about sustainability. I learned about circular economy and more in depth about different types of sustainability and what we do to make the environment more sustainable. I went to bishan amk park where I get to understand that this park is actually an icon of singapore.

On the third day, I learned more about how to make myself more skillful and also what we can do to be a better leader to lead more people to a better track.

in conclusion, I feel really honoured and grateful to be able to come to this camp because I really see how the culture is different here. I also get to see more different perspectives and build more connections.

, which made the stay there unforgettable. Finally on day 3, we were all bummed out that it would be one of the last days where we will spend time with one another, But nonetheless , we made the most of it and spent the day at changi airport with enthusiasm. The inter-watch games also allowed me to interact with watch members outside of my original watch. It showed me that even though i am not with my day1 watcg, im still able to talk and laugh with other people. Finally today at changi airport, we just spent the day exploring and enjoying our moment with one another. We spent the night until 2am to talk and show our appreciation for one another. It really showed me how much i cherish my watch members despite the short time we’ve been together, as the memories we made together felt as if we knew each other for years. Although it will be a bittersweet ending, our friendships will continue on and we wont let the times we had together go to waste.

The MT and ATM i had , haikal and aurelie, were very welcoming and were truly the best mentors! They not only brought out the fun in programmes but also made us feel comfortable within the group by being so welcoming. I really appreciate having their guidance and advice, as well as their support and love:)

All in all, I truly enjoyed this camp a lot. From the mentors to the student leaders, everyone was caring and easy to befriend due to the open mindedness! I felt this is very rare to see, especially when everyone is from different schools and backgrounds, everyone embracing togetherness.

I will very much miss my watch 2 as they were truly the most amazing and selfless group of people I've met. I will greatly miss our memories we have made over the past 4 days we've been a watch and im sure this friendship of ours will not be lost despite the distance!!!

I was a part of watch 2, and words cannot express how much ami appreciate meeting every single person in my watch, including my team mentors. The moment we started icebreakers, i knew that this camp was exactly my cup of tea and that i had nothing to worry about after all. Everyone was so participative and enthusiastic. And this eas not just my watch, but the entire cohort. Everyone was willing to share their thoughts in such an open manner that it inspired me to do the same. Even for the more heavier topics such as racial stereotypes in day 1, everyone was honest yet respectful no matter what was said.

With that, i truly feel that oslp was a meaningful and impactful experience. It felt and still does feel like a safe space where i can discuss and ponder about different societal issues without any judgement while being exposed to a wide range of opinions. This made me realise the importance of voicing out our ideas as it pushes others to do the same and thus allows for a fruitful discussion where every party can feel understood. OSLP reshaped my perspective on the definition of leadership. It made me see how different people lead in different ways - some direct, and others not so much - Nevertheless, i believe that our initiative to take the first step is a crucial part in leadership, and im proud of my cohort for being able to display this act in their own unique ways. i learnt that we have to be brave enough to make bold decisions, even if they are not conventional, as we will have more supporters than we think, even if it seems ridiculous. I learnt how although people may always tell us what we cannot do, we can always work our way around it and turn the situation in our favour by thinking outside the box. As long as we are able to adapt to constant change and stay resilient, we can end up enjoying the hardships that come with success, and that’s what makes leading so beautiful.

Being one of the few selected for OSLP, I didn't know what to expect, but I was quickly welcomed by a friendly group of student leaders which I am really grateful for.

Over the camp, I gained many insights that resonated deeply with:

day 1: I believe openness is the centre of Singapore’s identity. It sort of paves the way for SG to achieve a harmonious multicultural society. Of course, empathy and service before self, are also values we need to nurture. With issues that SG is facing (eg. elderly living in isolation), these values urge us to listen, understand, and take small manageable actions to help out

day 2: The programme that day reinforces that decision making involves trade-offs, but it’s about choosing actions that address the most pressing needs. Overall, NACLI was a powerful reminder of how shared values can shape a more interconnected and sustainable future. During the learning journey, I went to Blio by Brambe. What I took away from the workshop is that it takes a lot of effort to reach our goals, and it’s already very impressive if we cross small milestones. We should celebrate small wins, and also have the boldness it takes to take the first step to achieving our goals

day 3: I learnt that collaboration stands out as an important value too! Student leaders aren’t about giving commands, but guiding, rallying the team, and working together toward a shared goal (with space to think creatively and lend a listening ear)

Overall, I am extremely grateful that I had this opportunity to be part of OSLP! Thank you to everyone for being on this journey together with me:)

I also realised that sustainability is not a static goal. It evolves continuously as the world changes - being shaped by global warming, shifting climate patterns, fluctuating supply & demand and the emergence of many new, complex challenges. However, it is also essential to realise that as long as we uphold core values like resilience, collaboration and adaptability etc, we will be equipped to navigate these uncertainties and respond with purpose!

Lastly, on a more personal note, I genuinely feel that I've built many meaningful and authentic friendships here. Although many of us arrived feeling a little anxious about meeting new people, everyone still approached the camp with openness and sincerity. It was really heartwarming to witness how, regardless of our different personalities- whether introverted or extroverted- we each made the effort to step beyond our comfort zones. And in just a remarkably short time, we grew comfortable with one another!! I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to attend OSLP, grateful for the invaluable lessons I've taken away from this experience and even more grateful for the incredible people I've met here, people who made this OSLP journey a inspiring, and unforgettable one!

the talks and learning journeys taught me how to better appreciate what we have in singapore, and how we can continue to sustain and be better. a key value that was present is how resilience. despite the challenges we faced, singapore continues to remain resilient and adapt to the changes in our country. we also work to improve and push ourselves further, coming out with new ideas/plans for the future. this contributes to social sustainability where the needs of people from both the current and future generations are met. this camp also gave me an glimpse of what the future of singapore could look like and how we as individuals can prepare ourselves.

aside from the talks and learning journeys, i learned a lot from other participants as well. they taught me that i should be curios and ask questions and to not stay in my comfort zone. i really really enjoyed my time with my group mates and im really grateful that i met them through this camp. we made lots of good memories together and its something i would never forget. i also really appreciate whatever ive learned through the camp.

Now , after spending 3 whole days with my watch 12 , I realised that I didnt hahe to be afraid or nervous in the first place. Our watch bonded and fostered friendships so quickly it was as if we had been friends for years. As for the camp , the scale of it has left me jaw-dropped. The opportunities , accommodations and the food all exceeds my expectations. Where else can one be sleeping infront of the sharks and stingrays?

All in all , Im really grateful to be chosen as the lucky person from my school to attend this camp and will forever cherish the memories made here.

From the very first day, the culture at OSLP was set proper. The culture of like minded leaders coming together to share an experience like never before and from Day 1 we got things going and were very set in the environment.

Walking out of this programme, definitely many things I will be carrying with me to apply in my daily life. Some of which is firstly to lead a sustainable lifestyle for the better of Singapore and yes it may have challenges and trade-offs along the way but ultimately for the better of Singapore and our living lifestyle I will lead a sustainable lifestyle. Secondly, to embrace that we are Singapore's future workforce and to be a better and more efficient workforce, we have to have skills and values that will make us confident for the future workforce.

Throughout the Four days, the straight talk, insider access has all been eye opening and really a privilege to see and experience what other people don’t often get to experience. More over, sleeping at the different locations really made the whole day and the whole camp a unique experience that I will miss weirdly and always keep as a memory.

My biggest takeaway I would say I have gotten out of the camp is definitely that all of us are leaders of tomorrow who not only have the responsibility but also the power to bring about change and make a positive impact to Singapore. I have learned that in order to achieve that we need to possess values such as boldness and resilience, and in a time as unexpected as the present - adaptability id crucial as well.

Personally I enjoyed bonding over this 4 days in my watch. Whether it is during our meal times, in the bus or even while we are at a workshop, the time spent there was worth it.

Through the programme I have also learnt about the importance of values such as adaptability and the need to collaborate in various fields like sustainability and even in the future of work. (A difference is hard to make without the help of others)

My watch mates (including our TM and ATM) are kind and thoughtful individuals and they have shown me that it is important that leaders care for the wellbeing of others. For instance, those who exit the lift first always take the initiative to hold the door. These simple acts demonstrate how leaders show care in minute and enormous ways, and the long lasting impact on individuals.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to learn side along other eager learners like me.

Furthermore, I think I have really grown into a better person than before because of my watch. They have been so supportive and helpful that it makes me think I could do anything—like even space mining. I feel happy that I was able to be apart of an amazing watch. Over the past for days I have felt many emotions like elation.

The various talks have allowed me to hear from people on the ground, who have experience on the various topics discussed. This has given me insights that would otherwise be difficult to get.

The workshops have opened my eyes to existing issues in a more fun way, through card games playable with my watchmates. These workshops allowed me to learn the same lessons in a more hands-on and engaging manner.

I am also very grateful for the insider access that we have gotten into National Gallery, Oceanarium and Changi Airport, which allowed us to explore areas otherwise closed to the general public, whilst learning along the way.

Lastly, I would like to thank my watchmates, who have made this camp that extra little bit special. Whether it was doing quests together, or just having a chat, I really enjoyed their company, and this camp is memorable because of them.

my takeaways include more knowledge about the many kinds of jobs relating to sustainability and what kinds of impact i can make as a youth. the card game on day 2 whwre ww can see how certain decisions have a carbon footprint and money count ajd how that affects our day to day lives. that game made am realsied to carefully think through the decisions i makw and encouraged me to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle in general

The workshops taught me about sustainability, multiculturalism, national values, and leadership in the workplace, which made me think more deeply about the future I want to be part of. One where communities are stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive. I also learned about incentive thinking and how different motivations shape decisions, especially when I took part in a game that helped me understand the struggles and responsibilities of the government. It showed me how leaders must balance priorities, resources, and the needs of many groups at once. The workshops also gave me a grasp of how the future will be like.

On top of that, the scenarios about unexpected events, like a 24-hour blackout, taught me how youths can step up, stay calm, and support their community. After the camp, I feel more confident and clearer about the kind of leader I want to grow into. I want to be someone who can connect with others, adapt fast, think incentively and contribute meaningfully to better future.

In addition, I enjoyed a very meaningful 4 days with my watch, Watch 10. Talking and connecting with different student leaders from various schools and backgrounds was very inspiring and eye-opening in broadening my horizons. While we had different worldviews and lived experiences, I was heartened to discover that we shared many common beliefs as well as the desire to contribute to Singapore’s future positively. Our discussions also helped me gain a more well-rounded understanding of the experiences of different groups in Singapore, such as the casual racism experienced by certain ethnic groups, which I previously had little exposure to.

In all, I gained endless valuable insights  into Singapore and leadership, as well as made many wonderful new friends, through OSLP. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this programme and would like to extend my sincere appreciation to my watch, team mentors, NACLI and all relevant staff for making OSLP such a fulfilling experience.

However I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by a group of strangers who were standing around a table and talking to on another. They had initiated contact with people they didn’t know and were willing to get to know each other although they were not in the same watch. It told me this camp was going to be different, and I was right. People in general were really open to talking to new people instead of shying away into the corner. When we finally met our watch mates, we started of cold but warmed up to each other quickly. This unprecedented experience for me helped further strengthen the idea that these people wanted to be here and therefore would put effort into this program.

The days and events went by quite fast, days filled with laughter, joy and learning. Even if you were busy making friends, summaries and reflections at night helped consolidate what we had been through and what we learnt as individuals.

My greatest take away would not be any lesson we learnt but definitely the people I met. Mixing students from many different schools with distinct background was something truly Singaporean and highlighted our identity as Singaporeans to be a multicultural society. The program provided the platform to learn what life was like in other schools, getting to know their ‘culture’ through the lens of our friends.

I am truly grateful to NACLI and NYC for hosting this program and hope more of such events would happen where dialogue and sharing takes place, it is only when there is dialogue does growth happen.

Knowing that only one person from each school would be at the camp scared me a little, as this meant I would not know anyone at OSLP. However, the feeling of being scared was replaced with a sense of warmth and belonging so quickly, as everyone was so outgoing and willing to talk to one another, which made my experience even more comfortable. This helped my opinions to be heard and seen during discussions, and gave me the confidence to share my views on different issues. It helped me learn a lot more than I expected.

From Our Singapore Identity to building a shared future, the sessions allowed deep conversations to occur, which made me think further and listen to other points of view. This widened my knowledge beyond what I had already learnt. OSLP also encouraged me to start initiatives we believe in and gave us tips on how we can use what we have to help us in the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to also thank WATCH 02 ! I will never forget the moments we laughed, learnt and cared for one another. I couldn’t ask for a better watch, and I’m very grateful for everyone, including our amazing TM Haikal and ATM Aurelie.

For the last time — TWO GOOD TO BE TRUE, WE ARE WATCH 0️⃣2️⃣!

On the first day of the camp, I was the first few from my watch (PINKIE PIE!!) that arrived at NACLI, when I looked around there were others but none were from my watch until I was approached by Ephraim. Instantly, we shared about ourselves and got to know more about him, that interaction allowed me to get comfortable with him and the programme. At the gazebo, my watch played games which helped us bond much better, the memories made in the gazebo is surreal.

On the 2nd day, during the glass upcycling learning journey, Irfan and I went up to members from other watches and get to know them and their watches cheers (especially Watch 8's!!) Despite being in different watches we were able to get along with each other very well and up until now watch 8 and watch 12 are good friends (ofc its not just watch 8)

On the 3rd day, the programmes in Changi Airport taught me many valuable lessons which are not usually shared/openly discussed to us 16-year-olds. I would like to bring out that in order to gain anything, you will always need to give something in return no matter how big or small the "something" is. Although it is not openly discussed but it is very true even to us leaders who plan activites for the school - there will always be trade-offs and we must always be willing to give in.

Though this programme I have, not only, managed to work and get to know members of pinkie pie, but also get to know and interact with many other ATM, TM and student leaders! 🔥🔥 Had a lot of fun over the past few days ❤️❤️❤️

After the camp, I feel much more certain about my own passion of teaching or doing social work due to all the interactions I had with everyone over the past 4 days. OSLP is an amazing programme that has allowed me to meet like-minded people and have deep and complicated conversations on issues. I am really grateful for this opportunity and will forever cherish everything I learnt and the friends and memories I have made

From this camp, my main takeaway is how I can contribute to the community by innovating ideas and coming up with new idea with a team filled with like-minded individuals working closely together and supporting one another, tackling challenges that may arise such as areas in sustainability development. Being able to stay resilient together and being adaptable to new changes around the world would allow us, youth leader, to find solutions to problem in Singapore.

In this entire camp, I have one minor regret. I regret not listening to my senior to took part in OSLP 2024. She told me she also regretted not talking to even more people throughout the camp ,Building connections with the campers. It only really hit me on day 3 that every single one of the campers were students specially selected by their schools to participate . These campers aren’t just campers but these campers are instead the best of the best from each school. These campers are the future of Singapore. We are the path makers to Sg’s future. I truly

The camp also allowed me to reflect on myself. It gave me the chance to think about what cause I was really passionate about. Through the workshops and experiences, we then got a more detailed look of the issue and how we, as youths, can actually make a difference.

Last but not least, the people I met at this camp made it a very memorable experience for me. We were all like minded in that we wanted to contribute in some way to society and this common goal bonded us together.

I felt like just experiencing the bouncing net together made my entire watch more united, we laughed sososo much from just trying to sabotage eachother to fall down, or from making one another fly up as high as possible.

One specific thing I truly cherish from this camp though, is definitely the ppl within my watch, TM and ATM included. I feel like even though the first day we started a little rough, with all our interactions being all awkward and all, I rly have to thank Isaac, Raine and Afraaz for rly putting in their utmost effort, making us all feel comfortable and to rly scream out our cheers. For most camps, especially a leadership one filled with loud cheers and ppl with rly high energy, my expectations were exceeded a thousandfold. I thought this camp would be like any other camp I've been to, where my group would be the most quiet and awkward out of everyone else, shying away from being hyperactive, but I was fortunately wrongggg 🤑

All in all, I feel like this camp has rly led me to seeing Singapore differently. With each specific day focusing on it's respective issue in Singapore, I've rly learnt so much about our Singaporean identity, with our amazing history packed with our unfortunate misuse of multiculturalism through prejudice, sustainability and innovation with Singapore ambitiously striving to achieve vast goals, like reaching net zero before 2050, despite just how difficult that actually is to turn into reality, or even our future of work, in an undeniably frightening new generation where any skill, no matter how complex or seemingly useful, could lose it's relevance in mere days with the evolution of new technology, where we as youths must try to stay open minded and adapt to all changes incoming. And with today's day 4, I believe that whatever is shared about Building a Shared Future today would be just as thought-provoking as every other topic within the last 3 days.

Day:this day was the spark of it all after returning from the gallery we decided to do the makan cheer for breakfast and a cheer during one of the auditorium talks,I felt a strong sense of pride in my watch as we were able to overcome such a scary thing in a short amount of time we then went to learning journeys and going to the just keep thinking I learnt many facts about trees and plants and their behaviour for territory.We all met up at the oceanarium,and we talked about our experience our whole group was all captivated by each others learning journeys which was so neat and when we toured the fishes our whole watch was mixing with each other and laughing together.

Day3:After coming back from the aquarium cheering together as a team became a norm but it felt stronger each time we cheered which really embodied our spirit that we have developed in the last few days,we mixed with other watches and managed to learn different names and people from other schools and it really enriched that spirit as a cohort too.But not only that our class during the Changi lunch we cheered so loud it felt like we were not the same watch 5 from the first day.In short I really enjoyed my time and was glad I was nominated to attend OSLP2025

The world is an amazing place and to meet people like this it’s so rare and extraordinary.I hope OSLP could have lasted longer but it was memories and lessons we learnt from this camp

Additionally, OSLP provides a platform for youths to gain more insights about prevalent issues in Singapore and how we can play our part to shape our future for the better. It has undoubtedly been a great learning experience, being exposed to topics that we may not place much emphasis on especially in our ever-changing society. Not only that, the activities curated for us were engaging and thought-provoking, allowing us to strike a balance between learning and fun.

An activity I thought was very meaningful and exclusive was the learning journey to Mottainai Food Tech. It allowed me to gain a different lens on what sustainability and innovation is all about and how companies like such are taking the first step to protect our environment. I learnt that even things like leftover soybean pulp and barley grains can be used to make meat and cookies! This made me wonder about all the other possibilities we can tap on in the future to reduce our food waste.

Through this programme, I've definitely been able to make friends with like-minded individuals and expand my network. Although we share different backgrounds and views, we are all still Singapore's future leaders and it is important that we work together to shape a better tomorrow for everyone. I am incredibly touched by how caring the community is as well, seeing everyone checking in on one another whenever they seem tired or simply including everyone in discussions.

From the very start of Day 1, it took me just a few minutes to settle down and conversations immediately started. As it progressed, I was really shocked at how vibrant and fun the programme was. Back in school I was always used to discipline focused programmes where we learned through fear and hardship. But OSLP’s concept of learning while having fun really made the learning experience much more enjoyable and memorable. As I progressed to Day 2 relationships started to strengthen and the bond really started to spark. Most of us were comfortable with each other and having fun. Day 2 was really impactful for me as it made me realised how truly great our country is. Going to Maritime Port Authority for my sustainability learning journey made me realise how important the maritime industry is in Singapore and how much effort they put in for the people in the country. Sleeping at oceanarium is definitely one of the best experiences i will ever have in my life. One of the most important aspects for me in this programme is the reflections we do. It has really made me think a lot about myself, my future and made me find new wisdom and perspectives. As I move on to Day 3, this day teaches me to be more mature and forward looking. Living in a very uncertain world where things change fast and innovations keep coming, we tend to be scared, stressed and anxious of what the future has for us. This programme then teaches me how to make smarter decisions while managing trade offs and balancing the good and bad that comes from it. It made me more mindful of the decisions I make and made me invest more in my future at a younger age. All in all, I truly believe that every second spent in this programme has been very fruitful and eye opening. I never thought that just a simple card game or a simple activity with a group of youths could bring so much more knowledge and lessons to be learnt that made me reflect for hours. This programme has truly inspired me to take that first step in contributing to Singapore’s future. I will continue to carry what I have learned this 4 days throughout my entire life and share this experience with my loved ones and the future generations of Singapore.

Through a blur of exciting activities and heartfelt sharing, my main takeaway is the power of humility. Being ‘top’ student leaders in each of our own schools can force us into the idea that growth has an end. Having fallen into this trap, OSLP has opened my eyes to the importance of a growth mindset that doesn’t stunt our learning process.

I am immensely grateful for the opportunities that we were given. I believe that each participant has been enabled and encouraged to further their leadership journey in their future schools and workplaces, carrying with us the memorable lessons and wisdom imparted to us across these 4 days :)

The camp has been very intentional and carefully curated in it's goal of developing leaders, as I've noticed in my watchmates and I. Personally, I really enjoyed the Nexus card game as it allowed us to simulate critical decision making and conflict management effectively, skills that aren't very commonly applied but essential to us, especially as leaders.

Through the various bonding and immersion activities, I was able to learn more about my Singaporean identity and roots, grounding myself in local culture and heritage. My worldview was also sharpened and diversified after listening to many talks and discussions, where I've learnt so many valuable things. Lastly, OSLP has been successful in developing me as a leader, as I was able to work on many skills and traits as a leader, such as communication and humility.

All in all, OSLP has been a holistic programme that has developed me both as a leader and a person, and I'm glad I was apart of this journey.

WATCH 4 MY GOATSSSSS 🔥🔥

To begin, the first thing that OSLP has given me is undoubtedly a perfectly curated space for me to interact and form relations with other like minded lleaders. This gave me not only many perspective shifts but also life long friendships that give me the courage to stand up and better the nation with my peers. Throughout the activities and discussions my circle has widen and I find myself starting to think im more lenses. The second thing OSLP has given me is the confidence to step out of my comfort zone from how safe it is to 'fail', with there being no right and wrong and everyone is so confidently sharing their views it makes me bolder and spurs me on to want to contribute to a greater cause for the nation. Thirdly, OSLP has deepened my appreciation for what the nation has build and the things I take for granted today. It also shows me how there are niche groups in society that may require more consideration and care when managing trade offs. This programme reminds me of the many diverse people who make up a society and their undoubtedly crucial role in the society.

This programme has also inspired me to pursue my passion of bettering the community and given me important points that I aim to bring up and raise awareness on on my community and school.

Lastly, this programme has given me a lot of hope. Hope in the next generation of leaders and I am very heartened to see so many people who are so passionate in leadership and service before self. It makes the journey of leadership much less lonely and it gives me a sense of camaraderie when I see the whole cohort so interested in the nation's matters.

In light of everything, this programme has certainly benefitted me in more ways than one and is such an enlightening programme for young leaders like myself. Giving us the platform to grow into even better leaders. I am truly grateful for this amazing opportunity.

I also feel like I developed on a personal level. My learning journey and hearing more about Singapore’s path to success encouraged me to be more bold in my own personal life, especially as I start a new chapter of life where I need to make decisions like my new subject combination.

Day 1 was nerve-wracking because I was unsure of whether my watch would click with each other. The icebreaker really made us closer. The tour to art gallery and activities conducted there made us step up from our comfort zone (like going crazy with the golden song). I learnt about Singapore's Identity and my biggest takeaway was being bold to try new things(as said in day 3)

Day 2 I went to the Tai Hua food industry to learn how they produce 0 waste and even use innovative methods to make coffee beans into delicious cookies. During the talk I was shocked by the fact that we have not reach even 20% of the targetted goals of the UNESCO world goals. Through this day, I learnt to be mindful of my actions as they will have consequences with the environment. One of the emcee also said about how environment, economy and society are interlinked which i totally agree with

Day 3 was more fun and exciting because we have like a panel talk and games. It was really fun as it requires us to think about our strategies and communicate with other pillars similar to a workplace. The panel talk was very insightful as I get to learn tips on how to be better, be humble and continue learning with growth mindset.

All in all, it was a fun experience and I would encourage my juniors to opt for this programme too!

I can't believe how easy it was to connect with everyone and talk as if we had known each other for years, I look forward to seeing all of them again.

I am very thankful for all the different venues and activities we got to go through as not many have such opportunity to go to these places, let alone it being free

And too my wonderful watchmates, keep doing the wonderful things you do and don't forget all the wonderful memories we have had. I will always take the time too look through the memories. Pictures freeze moments in time but memories last forever.

D3- it was such an open eye to see how future of work is and after hearing at the Changi Axis, I personally think that resilience is really important in our leadership life.

One memorable experience that I have from the OSLP programme would be the case study activity. It allows me to learn that each action has consequences and it can affect different people very differently. It also allows me to understand that everybody has their own opinions and they are all valid, hence, we must not judge. Instead, have an open mindset and accept any information and take it as a learning point.

I want to give credit to my group. Watch 2 has honestly been such a great bunch of peers to me. In this 4D3N camp, I learn so much about and from my peers. Tharun, Clarence and Joshua has been so supportive and from the very first day when we bonded, I would say we naturally looked out for one another and had a sense of care for each other. For my other group members, they have been very fun to interact with and I will definitely miss them very much after the camp. For my TM and ATM, thank you for always being there for us and being so casual with us. We appreciate the care you have given and the valuable reflections that you have provided.

I hope that everyone in this camp strive for their hopes and dreams and are able to use the advice given from this camp in their everyday lifestyles. Overall, I am very grateful for this opportunity and I wish I could do it all over again. (It ended way too early😭🙏)

The OSLP experience was also such a unique one, and honestly the best camp that I have ever experienced! From the food, facilities, activities and speakers, everything was planned so well and seamlessly. I had gained greater insights into the founding values of the leaders of Singapore, how Singapore moves towards becoming a more sustainable society, and the future of work. Day 3 was one that had left the greatest impact on me. In this ever-changing world, there are so many challenges we face. Like many others, I was also uncertain about the future, and scared for what was to come — would I struggle to get a job? would they continue to replace humans with AI? what would my future be like? However, after hearing from the panelists, they gave their insights on the future of work, and shared some really good actions to take.

Overall, this camp was such a powerful and inspiring camp. I would never forget the memories shared, the lessons learnt and the friendships formed in this camp!

On the first day, I was reminded of the importance of values-based leadership. Through learning about our SG identity, I realised that our entire society is built on mutual respect, openness and integrity. This reminded me that the foundation of our leadership is built on these values, and we must strive to uphold them to preserve a strong foundation.

On the second day, I realised that sustainability is more than just about the environment. It’s also about making sure SG as a society can continue to flourish in the future. As a small city-state, we must sustain our country by thinking about how we can contribute to our society in our own small ways.

On the third day, I realised that as a leader, we have to evaluate trade-offs when we make decisions. The difficult part of leadership is having to learn how to think of the bigger picture when there are sacrifices that have to be made.

As a whole, the experience of making new friends from other schools was one of the highlights of OSLP. Seeing how everyone came together to work as a team showed me the power of trust and collaboration. Hearing all their different perspectives reminded me how although we are different, we can also find common ground to bond over. Thank you to all the organisers, ATMs and TMs for their hard work and support!

The experiences were also really well-crafted in helping us understand what leadership means in Singapore's context. It expanded my definition of leadership beyond school to contributing to the cohesion and sustainability of society. The first day's topic of Singapore's identity truly let me gain a deeper appreciation of what grounds and ties us together. Our in-depth conversations about multiculturalism and founding principles reminded me that as leaders, we play a part in rallying everyone together in our roots and shaping culture to never let these values slide away. The second and third day's topics then showed me how current leaders have been shaping Singapore's success in different sectors. I learnt many valuable lessons about leading boldly and leading people towards a common vision of improving Singapore. I was also inspired to innovate and work towards leading in the causes I care about. As youths, we do have the power to create change, as shown by the discussion we had regarding total defence. The panel talk about the future of work also taught me that even as we face many uncertainties in the future, we can always remain resilient and bold (which are our founding principles!) to achieve our dreams.

All in all, I am really grateful for this opportunity as it has shaped my perception of leadership and inspired me to use my leadership for the betterment of Singapore.

Beyond the educational aspects of the programme, interacting with my watch mates and other fellow student leaders have really broadened my perspectives on various contemporary topics, allowing me to improve my people skills and gain insight from diverse perspectives. I think learning from the insights shared by my watch mates has definitely been one of the key parts of this experience and one of the most memorable.

Overall, this has truly been a wonderful and illuminating experience that will be imprinted in my memory for a long time. I’ve really come to appreciate the different aspects of Singaporean life and the interactions between people and environment around me.

I also made new friends who inspired me, and I’m really grateful for my amazing TM and ATM for guiding us with so much patience and passion. Their support made this journey even more meaningful.

I genuinely loved every moment of these four days, and I hope I’ll get the chance to come back again.

Day 2: thru the maritime learning journey, i learn that SG leaders has went the extra mile to make maritime transport sustainable which tells me to always give my fullest to everything. I also learnt to not be afraid of criticism upon seeing how I was always scared that a disruption happens. The table talk in the evening reminds me to always be involved in SG affairs.

Day 3: i realised how there are many aspects of development in Singapore, and good development also involves good sacrifice. During the activity, we worked together as a team to balance every aspect ensuring that every aspect is a positive number

Apart from that, the activities conducted during OSLP deepened my understanding of Singapore. On day 1, the discussions of multiculturalism reminded me of the importance of being sensitive in what we say. As a leader, this trait is important as it ensures that we do not say the wrong things that may offend our group members. The Singapore values also educated us on essential values that leaders must uphold, in order to lead their country through crisis so as to prosper. Most interestingly, the national gallery activities allowed us to further understand Singapore’s heritage, such as learning more about labour policies, and the stringent policies that the government upholds.

On day 2, the workshops on sustainability allowed us to physically notice the actions of the government. The mottainai food tech industry visit gave participants an opportunity to physically observe concepts such as circular economy, where resources are used to their maximum potential to minimise waste. It was fascinating to learn how food waste could be transformed into food products with higher value, with one great example being how Okara can be transformed into food plant-based meat. Subsequently, the talk on sustainability refreshened concepts that we may have learnt before and reminded us of their significance in our future. The concept of sustainability is indispensable as it impacts our future with great significance, and I was fortunate to have learnt certain methods of sustainability that I can apply as a leader in the future. Finally, the oceanarium visit allowed us to also learn about marine sustainability. Activities such as the fish net photo capturing activity taught us on how small actions, although perceived as minor, can have severe consequences towards biodiversity(since other endangered fishes may be caught in the net)

On day 3, we got to travel to Changi Jewel to experience the future of work. The games held, such as the activity on deciding solutions towards future problems, taught us how to manage tradeoffs and to at times think out of the box. It allowed us to feel the tensions and the stress that policy makers have to make, given time constraints and the severity of the decisions to be made. On the other hand, the panellist discussions gave us opportunities to query on work concerns that we have for the future, such as the “right time to start a business” or the “essential values for work in the future”. The AES activity that I went also gave me an insight towards the job of providing security for the airport, and the stress that they may face.

Most importantly, the activities held also honed our leadership skills. The discussions we had taught us critical thinking, in considering scenarios in detail regardless of how small they may be. The many bonding sessions, such as mingling with batchmates from other watches, allowed us to be proactive in discussion.

To me, the most significant thing, however, was the community at OSLP. It is not common to see a community that is enthusiastic and willing to open with each other eagerly. It was heartwarming to see everyone care for each other and create a safe environment for each individual to be open. This OSLP opportunity has certainly allowed me to get to know more amazing people in Singapore, and I will definitely cherish the social connections I have made here!

What mattered most was the interaction with the people around me as every one of us here will play a part in shaping tomorrow. I’m extremely grateful for my team, who filled these four days with warmth, encouragement, and support. One thing I realised throughout these programme was that every one of us have our own strengths, and that we can always rely on each other for them, and same goes for our adult life. Through the activities, we bonded, created incredible memories, and stepped out of our comfort zones together.

I will always treasure these interactions as they taught me so much about leadership, being present for others, and taking action to make a positive change in society. This experience truly reminded me that we have the power to lead, to inspire, and to make a difference, starting with the communities around us.

Thanks to this program, I've become more confident when communicating, better at collaborating under pressure, and I've learned to think critically before making decisions. These skills are definitely going to help me out in the future, whether it's for school projects, taking on leadership roles, or even in a job later on.

One of the biggest takeaways for me is the friendships and collaborations that developed throughout the program. Working alongside people I didn't know very well at first really helped me build trust, respect, and a sense of teamwork. Those friendships made every activity more special and reminded me that we can achieve so much more when we support each other.

OSLP also opened my eyes to what I want to improve about myself. I want to be more proactive, more inclined to speak up, and more confident in sharing my thoughts. I've picked up on the importance of listening and appreciating different perspectives too, and I aim to keep growing in those areas. A takeaway that i will always remember is. a strong leader needs both micro and macro problem-solving skills, but having a macro perspective is often more effective. Micro thinking helps with details, but macro thinking allows leaders to understand the overall situation, looking at the bigger picture, leaders can solve problems at their root, plan better, and inspire greater confidence in the people they lead.

These past four days of OSLP have surpassed any expectations that I had before coming into the programme! Coming into camp, something that struck me was the sheer number of people in the arrival area, and honestly it felt a little overwhelming at first. But over the course of the programme, getting to know my batchmates, it’s amazing to see how diverse each person is, Whether it’s our backgrounds, our views, or even our leadership types, each person brought something new to the table, and it was such a good chance to develop my understanding on the values that make singapore what it is today. One value that stood out this camp was boldness, the boldness we learnt about at the national gallery that started the nation we live in today, the boldness that youths must take to create a stronger future, and the boldness we all experienced from one another throughout the programme. A huge shoutout to my watch mates who brought so much warmth and joy to the past four days, and created the memories that i’ll look back on with fondness!! I’m so grateful for you, and thank you to my TM and ATM for being our pillars of support through it all. I’ll miss saying good morning, good night and hello, the thousands of makan cheers and all that we learnt through OSLP!! Thank you for everything :)

For day 1 we learnt a lot about multiculturalism, when discussing about the scenarios I was surprised to hear that some of us actually feel that casual racism within close friends is needed to maintain social harmony as only then it can allow us to feel more accepting and used to it. It was the first I have thought about it that way, we also learnt about overstepping boundaries like why are some of us accepting of casual racism and why we aren’t. It was truly a great experience attaining the insights of my other watchmates and the TM/ATM as well. Overall Day 1 was a blast, in not only learning about multiculturalism but also building leadership and setting boundaries.

For day 2 it was really enjoyable learning about sustainability, the learning journey was really fun and rewarding, for me I went to the netatech urban farming group and it was really enjoyable learning about how the company uses technology not only to grow plants but to also save electricity and water. Apart from that they shared much about value systems as well. The most important one I felt was both courage and agility, to have the courage to take the next step that will bring you closer to success despite the risks, while having the agility to pivot yourself to adapt to any challenges and setbacks so that we can thrive. Moreover, the card game also gave us a clearer picture of some of the trade offs needed when we want what’s best for society(it also help us bond closer with our watchmates)

For day 3 we learnt a lot about the future aspirations of Singapore, especially during the talk it was really inspiring to hear all the power figures talk about their values, mindset and how they view certain things I felt it was truly amazing. Moreover in the afternoon when we played the card game I learnt that in general there will always be pros and cons for every decision it’s just that some may weigh more severely than other decisions. I also learnt that communication and collaboration is important as it breaks the limit of achievement that an individual has, it also allows us to learn more as there are different perspectives. On this day I’m also really grateful to have shared my reflections and overall experiences with my watchmates, TM and ATM. I feel really grateful for each and every single one of them, I’m glad to have them in my watch☺️

In conclusion, OSLP has taught me a bunch from principals to values that really helped improve my character. Thank you OSLP for the funny and enriching.🥳 Especially TM, ATM and watchmates❤️

Beyond the content, what made this experience truly meaningful was the people. I genuinely loved bonding with my watch, getting to know everyone not just as participants, but as individuals and seeing the perspectives of everyone. The late-night talks, the reflections, and the games we played all became moments that I truly truly cherish. A really big thank you to the TMs and ATMs for guiding our reflection sessions and facilitating the discussions that shaped so much of our experience. You guys are the GOATs!!!

For the first time, I actually looked forward to every reflection session and every perspective and point of view of others interests me deeply.

What I will remember most is the sense of community we built. The laughters shared during breaks, the teamwork during activities, and the small moments of encouragement from people I barely knew at first — these made the programme feel meaningful and warm. Even though our time together was short, it felt sincere.

It feels great to have a community of like-minded people and look forward to seeing all of you someplace else !

Initially I was really hesitant coming to this camp as I was scared that I wouldn’t make any friends but me and my watch mates all cliqued almost very well throughout the days and I couldn’t have asked for better watch mates. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and also very creative and well spoken. It’s an amazing experience and I am really proud to say I don’t regret being here.

The programme gave me deeper insight into Singapore’s values and community, while also challenging me to grow as a leader.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve gained is understanding what it really means to lead with empathy, confidence, and respect. Working with people I had never met before taught me how important it is to listen, communicate, and collaborate. Everyone in OSLP has been so friendly, open, and non-judgmental, which created a space where I felt supported and encouraged to step up and take initiative.

Not only that but I also managed to get a deeper insight into Singapore and learn a lot throughout the 4 days which gave me a better understanding of the future and how I can prepare well for it.

I also really am grateful for my TMs and ATMs for putting in so much effort, I’m really grateful and proud to call them my mentors becuase they’ve taught me a lot and showed me what it’s like to be a leader and having fun at the same time. I’m really grateful to have met everyone and I hope that we all are able to cross paths in the future!! I’m really grateful for everyone once again and if I could I would come back again in time to come!!❤️❤️
