Right now I'm having a Segment 2 live lesson attendance and participation for Pizza! I also post a Top 5 on my AP as a Bitomji Room for kids who have the highest percent complete and are earning A-B in the course. This creates healthy competition. I also end Gift Cards to kids each month for doing exceptional work. I celebrate by giving praise in my graded feedback. I also add a Star Student Display to my AP with facts about the kids and their favorites. I emphasize how glad I am that they are there and try to encourage them before the class starts. I use the pizza coupons, when they are available. Now I use the Fun Spot/Deizerland discount cards. Most of the time I buy candy for daily incentives. I do about 4 Raffles annually and buy gift cards and school supplies to give to the students if they win the raffle. The raffles can have up to 3 winners and I have them complete a survey, so I know what type of gift card and school supplies they like. I use the Wheel Spinner website to choose the winners. The the survey is sent to them once they enter my class so I have the information, but if students have not completed it, it is the perfect time to complete it. The survey also asks for student and parent emails and phone numbers so I can call the parents for transparency throughout their time in my class! I have also taken pictures of the students with their prizes! I send them texts and emails throughout their progress for encouragement as well.
