(Mantle)-The region of the interior of the Earth between the core

 (on its inner surface) and the crust (on its outer).

(core)- the central region of the earth, mostly made of iron and nickel.

(crust)- the underlain by the mantle

(epicenter)-The point on the Earth's surface that is directly above

 the focus (the point of origin) of an earthquake.

(lithosphere)- the crust and upper mantle of the earth.

(asthenosphere)-the upper layer of the earth's mantle, below the lithosphere,

in which there is relatively low resistance to plastic flow and convection is

 thought to occur.

(subduction)-the sideways and downward movement of the edge of a plate

of the earth's crust into the mantle beneath another plate.

(convection currents)-a current in a fluid that results from convection.

(S wave)-a wave that moves through the body of an object,

unlike surface waves.

(P wave)-a longitudinal earthquake wave that travels through the interior

 of the earth and is usually the first conspicuous wave to be recorded by

a seismograph.

(Continental Drift)-the lateral movement of continents resulting from the

 motion of crustal plates.

(Pangea)-the hypothetical landmass that existed when all continents were

 joined,

from about 300 to 200 million years ago.

(Divergent)-pertaining to or causing divergence

(Convergent)-relating to convergence

(Transform)-make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance,

 or character of.

(Boundaries)- a line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line

Convergent-an actively deforming region where two (or more) tectonic plates or fragments of the lithosphere move toward one another and collide.

Transform- Transform boundaries are known to slide past each other and not to tear or crunch.Transform boundaries  are marked by features like stream beds that have been split in  half and the two halves have moved in opposite directions.

Divergent-a linear feature that exists between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other.
