Spanish Vs English

What I have seen throughout this course is that both Spanish and English are very similar, but very different. Sometimes you can look at a word, that goes for all romance languages, and you can tell what it means in English, which is referred to as a cognate. but that is not the case all the time. The masculine and feminine forms of words plus using the definite and indefinite articles can get confusing, since it is a new way of saying things like the book, el libro, we just use the but in Spanish it gets way more complicated. Conjugation is also hard to get used to since a lot of our verbs in English do not fall into a specific pattern like many -er, -ar, and -ir verbs do. Conjugation made me think of how we use verbs in English in a new way. The sentences in Spanish are structured similarly to English as well.

Costa Rican Culture

What I loved about Costa Rican culture is how tightly knit the families are to eachother. I have a smaller family, so it is weird to think about how a whole family could live in one household and the children do not move out till they are out or college or married. Costa Rican food seems very yummy like Gallo pinto, casado, and frescos! The teenagers there arent too much different from us. They go to the mall, play sports , or hang out with their friends and see a movie on the weekends.

Spanish To Be Continued?

I would like to continue in the spanish language for sure. I have other languages I want to learn, but if i had the time to come back and really learn it I would love to do so. It is a relatively easy language to learn, so I think I can get pretty far in it! I am not sure if I will ever be fluent in the language, but I do have an appreciation for it. Since so many people speak spanish it would useful and cool to be able to communciate with so many more poeple. I would hope to learn more things to be able to have deeper conversations with people.

Learning On An Online Class

Learning on online is not always the best for me personally, I learn better in a classroom setting. On the other hand, in this class I can learn on my own and teach myself which can be nice. It also taught me the need of budgetting your time, since you run when you are learning. It gets you adjusted to how some classes will be like in college with submitting things online. The notes on here are sort of disorganized which was sort of a challenge for me. The notes were all on a page and there arent so many slides to the notes, some things would be less overwhelming.

What Has Helped Me In This Online Class

The activities in these class have helped me the most. Having to read and listen to passages helped me be able to remember the vocabulary, know how it is said, and now how to compose sentences. Practicing with the grammer quizes helped me really understand the grammer rules. The projects helped me connect everything as well. The flashcarrds on quizlet helped me a lot as well learning the vocabulary by being able to go through it and reallly memorize the words by quizing myself.

My instructor

My instructor has helped me a lot through this semester. I am not the best at communicating but she is always willing to help answer all my questions and help me catch up. The feedback on assignments help a lot too. Om every assignment if there was something I needed to improve on it was there. It is hard to contact teachers when the are not right in front of you everyday but Mrs. WIlfong was alway helpful. My only problem was that I did not reach out to her as much as I should have.

Hola! Me nombre es Miranda Mattie y vivo en Carolina del Norte. Yo tiene diez y siete años. Me gusta estar con mi familia y ver películas, muy intereso. Yo encanto viajar Estoy en Costa Rica! Soy en estudiante y vivo una familila costarricense. El padre nombre es David y la madre nombre es María. Davis es el maestro y María es cientifico. Tienen la hija. Se llamo Sarah. Ella es menor que yo. La abuela nombre es Bella y tiene setenta años. La abuela compas el champú, la pasta dental, y el jabón para la familia a el supermercado.

Mi Casa y Barrio Cerca de Mi Casa

Su casa es muy grande y rojo. Su casa tiene es cinco dormitorios y cuatro baños; tiene tres pisos. Vivo en las montañas. El ambiente es tropical. En la barrio cerca de mi casa, hay el consultorio, el banco, y la biblioteca. Me gusta camino a la biblioteca estudiar. Yo toma el autobús ir a el gimnasio hacer gimnasia. Observo la naturaleza en el fin de semana.

Mi Escuela

Desayuno a qué hora de la siete mañana y como as frutas. En mi horario para escuela, tengo las matemáticas, la historia, el inglés, y las ciencias. El primera periodo yo tengo la clase de matemáticas son las nueve de la mañana. El segundo periodo yo tengo la clase de ciencias son las diez y media. Mi tercera clase es la clase de inglés son las doce de la tarde y la cuarta clase es la clase de historia son las dos de la tarde. El almuerzo a la una y media de la tarde. Tiene las hamburguesas para almuerzo.
