For the begginers in project applications I believe a good tip is to start with planning ''small'' steps with reasonable aims, goals and objectives. Big expectations and complicated goals can be overwhelming for the beginners. Sometimes even micro goals and ''simple'' objectives can result in fantastic projects.

The tips given are definitely some of the most important: be precise, show that you know your school deeply (internal and external evaluation) and what is needed to improve; involve the teachers but also the other educational staff (include them in the mobility); be clear about the expected outcomes, how you are going to monitor and disseminate them; what will be the impact in the organisation. Finally, hope/ assure that the staff participating in the mobilities is going to stay in your organisation(unfortunately some of our participants have changed school).

The AECCB has an KA1 approved, who was in condition of substitute. In the unlikely event of being deferred until December, it will be submitted for 2019-20. However there are improvements to be made to the project. I think I can get acquainted with this course that will allow me to make these improvements. However, the fact that in Portugal there are groupings and the application to be ONE by grouping creates disparities. That is, a group of 600 students has the same training opportunity as one that has 3800 students ...

It's important to define the objectives of the project among a large group of teachers, staff members and school stakeholders. The project's main objectives must be related on solving identified school problems or the improvement of skills of his members. In the application, every choice made must be well-founded. The school applies and get the money to pay the course KA1 and then the chosen staff goes abroad to learn and then they use their new knowledge at their school. But when the head of a school is not interested or you are not a chosen person you just forget KA1.
You cannot apply alone. I think the lesson is very clear. I do not care anymore about this KA1.

Barbara from Italy To have KA1 project granted is quite difficult but not impossible. My advice is not let be discouraged and apply several times. Read carefully the report of the National Agency about your project. None of the several courses that I attended taught me as much as Erasmus Evalutators in theri report!

It was a great experience, even if the snow didn’t aloud us to benefit the most from the activities that were planned. But I didn’t have any problems, because my school had all the work. I know that we are applying to KA2, and I hope we can be successful: the exchange of experiences abroad the EU is fantastic and I hope I can repeat this experience with Erasmus+.

I’ve already participated in a KA2 activity: I’ve been in Finland-Kouvola, in September.I've been also in Malaga for an eTwining seminar. It was a great professional and human experience. I didn’t have any problems, because my colleague that usually organizes Erasmus projects had all the work. I have never taken part in Erasmus KA1/2 project but I would really loved to. That's why I have enrolled this online course to learn the basic steps and tips how to make an application. What I understand is that you can't do it without your headmaster's nor colleagues' support. It is a complex procedure and long lasting too. Besides choosing a relevant topic to upgrade your school stuff's skills and competence you have to have a team who will help you writing and carrying out the project.

Very recently I was given the opportunity to attend a course in the Czech Republic on Etwinning. It was an amazing experience. I got to meet new people who became friends and at the moment we are developing a project on eTwinning that might lead into an Erasmus KA1 or 2. We are in the second year of our KA1 project, I'm in the organization team, that´s too much work and, unfortunately, some of our colleagues think there is no added value in those experiences (only the ones who didn't participate ...). For me, as the organizer, it's a whole world of open perspectives and I want to think that I can contribute to some changes in my school. The feed-back of the participants couldn´t be better (including myself, once I attended to a structured course too). In the tutorial were advised to be careful with the conditions the course providers publish - it is very important.

When your school would like to improve, innovate, revise and internationalize its educational activity, k1 actions could be a great opportunity. It could help to improve teaching ways, managing, skills improvement, ICT, etc.

It is important that your k1 activities are related with school project and support by headmaster and the school mobility commission.

Firstly, school should define its goals and necessities to predict the impact in its organization. Then, school could propose activities (learning courses, job shadowing, and teacher classes abroad, …) and publish to its teachers and education community.

Finally, after mobility, activities must be certified and the results of the project should be measurable and assessable .

My School has never integrated a K1 Project for the mobility and training of its staff. For this reason, it is not possible for me to mention aspects to be taken into account when filling out an application. (Incidentally, given solid screening criteria and selection of submitted projects, it would not make any sense to point out other "important aspects to take into account", since they could not influence later on the success of the application!).

Make sure your goals are achievable and your outcomes measurable . Do not set too many goals in one project. Additional attention should be given to a good dissemination plan and visibility of the project.

I think applying to an Erasmus+ project should be seen as a whole period that we plan -search-ask-discuss - brainstorm -write and perform in it. Making a problem trees -solution trees and needs trees help a lot.They allow us to see the picture from a wider view.

It's important that the aims of a Project are related to the school needs as well as to the development of teacher's skills. I think it’s quite relevant to offer Language Courses in the first phase of a Project because some teachers are quite reluctant to participate in the mobilities due to the lack of fluency in a foreign language.
In a Project is also important that to explain clearly the way of dissemination, the aimed impacts on the school and the way of measuring them.

The whole idea of developing projects with foreign teachers and students is enough to make me want to embark in this course, even though I hate all the paperwork this type of project involves! I have participated in a Comenius project and I've been a keen eTwinner for quite some time now and I love travelling and being part of transnational groups. We have two approved KA1 project. The first was in 2014 and the second is for this year. According to my experiences, we have to prove our needs' with numbers, concrete things etc. Before writing the application form we' ve read all the articles in Turkish or in English we can find. We wrote the project as a team including 4 teachers from different fields of study. Project team is essential for a successful project. Sustainability of the project must be also well defined.

I’m the coordinator of an Erasmus + KA229 project. It is a wonderful experience for me and the school. I’d like to participate in a KA1 project to improve teaching and learning.

For me, the most important thing is to thoroughly know the needs of the Teachers of our school in terms of professional development - supported by a questionnaire done to the Teachers. My school is involved in a KA1 project through a consortium. This is my first Erasmus plus project so I don't have nay particular tips. Our KA1 is a mobility project with job shadowing. Wha tI can say is that we have 3 mobilities: 1 in spain and wiz already found a partner..and 2 Iceland and there it's much more difficult...we have absolutely no touch inIceland..very difficult to find a hosting school.
