         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>It Helps with kids critical thinking skills<ul><li>As for the result of getting people in general to think more critically, Media Literacy can be taken in any way the reader wants and this is important to make sense of the information at hand.</li></ul></li><li>Helps consumers know more information about products<ul><li>Media Literacy can be incredibly help when it come to determining the credibility of a source. A very important also is the ability to determine persuasive intent.</li></ul></li><li>Recognizes a specific point of view (bias)<ul><li>Every source, every article, every type of media has a creator that has a certain point of view. To identify the author's point of view can help anyone appreciate different perspectives of a situation.</li></ul></li><li>Helps to identify the role of media in our culture<ul><li>This can be a celebrity magazine, or the news telling us something and shaping our understanding of the world and compelling us the act in certain ways. Media literacy is the skill to pick up of the tells of this information.</li></ul></li><li>To understand the authors goal<ul><li>Understanding what the author of any media source wants you to take away from the piece and you to understand whether I am to come out knowing more information, and a perspective change, or introducing new ideas. Media literacy is required to make good informed decisions for yourself and no one else. </li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
