How is the US different from the other country you looked at?

Think about it: How many laws are presented each day in Washington to be voted on?

Would it be worth it to have a direct democracy in the US instead of rep. democracy? Why?

-not one person is leading the country, it evens out

-large population-easier to govern with this form.

-3 branches keeps the gov organized and purposeful

-keeps the President in line and not power hungry!

-everybody gets a say (if you vote)

-people have power

Belarus: Parliament (legislative branch-2 chambers)- President has complete power

have a Prime Minister-has a lot of power

Mexico: like the US-3 major parties (instead of 2)

France: President and Prime Minister (hired by President)
