  • I love this song from Shauna Seeteenak because she brings awareness towards people that have mental health issues, and she tells them that they should never give up because you can make it through anything if you keep trying. That there is hope for those who are going through hard times.

  • It is important to me to listen to Inuktut music because it shows me that anyone can become creative and make their own music, using instruments and creating their own words in the song. Inuit making music brings out our Inuktitut language, it teaches people our culture as well, keeping the culture alive.

    I love this song because it’s beautiful when all the snow is melting, it’s such a happy time after spending the winters inside and not seeing the people of the community after our long winters. It feels like the world goes round and we’re connected again.


    Inuktitut music is important as it helps keep us connected to our roots, culture and our people. When I listen to Inuktitut music I feel a sense of belonging and pride – it reminds me of who I am and where I come from.
