To My Future Self,

How are you? I hope that life has become kinder to you and that you are in a better place than you were when I wrote this. If you are reading this ten years from now, I want you to know that I am proud of you for making it this far.

At 17, I am facing struggles that often feel too heavy to carry—tiredness, emptiness, and days that seem endless. Yet, despite all of that, I am writing this letter as a reminder that you are stronger than you think. Every bad day survived is proof of your resilience.

I hope that by the time you read this, the pain and exhaustion I feel now have turned into lessons that shaped you into someone wiser, braver, and more at peace. I pray you have found love, purpose, and reasons to smile more often. But even if challenges remain, always remember: storms will pass, and the darkest nights will always give way to sunrise.

Please, never give up on yourself. Keep fighting, keep dreaming, and keep choosing to live. You are worthy, you are loved, and you are enough—always.

The second major lesson was the need to establish positive relationships and secure environments since it is easier to handle mental health when I am around people who are understanding and supportive.  Of all the lessons we addressed the theme that touched me the most was mental health since it made me open my eyes to the fact that everyone is emotionally challenged at one time or another, and that one is not weak when asking help or demonstrating vulnerability.  This subject taught me to be more mindful of my self-care since I needed to be reminded that rest, boundaries, and kindness toward myself are not a luxury. It also made me understand how mental health affects the way I connect with others as it taught me that becoming more conscious of my own feelings made me more empathetic, patient, and understanding towards the people around me.  The lessons appeared practical and relatable to daily life, which I liked because the discussion of mental health directly related to real-life situations when I felt I needed it the most, and I was stressed.  On the whole, the topic made me feel more confident and determined to take care of my mental health as I understood that it also matters as much as taking care of my physical body.  This topic allowed me not only to be informed but also to acquire the spirit that the main course of personal development is to know and bring the inner world to life in all its various forms, and that a person should always prioritize mental health in order to live healthier and more meaningful and balanced life.
