1. For this course, It was fun looking at the other creators' work, and trying to figure out how they did some effects(one of the reasons why I spent more time pushing this project). I also appreciate the lessons on thought process(my favorite part) and planning the project.

1) Making this lens is exciting :) I'm happy to see one of my drawings on my face. It is a little unsettling however now I'm looking at it.

2) Maybe I'll try to make the cat face cuter and include more animation. If the face of the cat could respond to my face movements that would be fun!

It felt satisfying to make my first lens. Thank goodness that we can replay the tutorials because it took me awhile to get it.

I would make my lens better by adding some more sparkles and glamour. Maybe even make adjustments to the crown and glasses too.

1. I made GIF and used color collection. I love we can add GIF as 2D object, it's fun! Adding color collection was fun too. I added for this one.
2. I am not sure how to adjust the lighting yet. I would like to explore that more. I also wonder if I should've made this in daylight.

What was it like to make your first AR Lens? It was fun, a little daunting but all the different options within lens studio were fun explore
How would you make it better for next time? Make my selections cleaner in photoshop, on a static image it was very easy to warp the images to my features but on a moving lens the selections needed to be much more forgiving, I.E. cut outs for hair line, ears etc. I also need to figure out how to pin an object to the subjects neck properly, I found a work around pinning to the subjects shoulders but it wasn't pivoting the way I wanted it to.

It was quite challenging for me to figure out how everything was done. This is the first time I've ever done something like this before, but it was satisfying when I was able to complete it.

What was it like to make your first AR Lens?
- It was a lot of fun playing around with all the different features and making it look like my design. As I kept progressing and learning new features I came up with more ideas on how to improve my lens. I think I spent way too much extra time on my lens because I wanted to keep improving it and making it fun and interactive for users. Most of the time I spent was looking for assets especially copyright free. Overall it was a great experience and I want to keep learning more.
How would you make it better for next time?
- For this tutorial I decided to do a jester lens for April fools. I added a jester hat and collar, animated juggling balls, and some face features. I was working on adding a jingle so that it played when the user moved their head but I couldn’t figure that out. So definitely I will learn more about interactions/behaviors for next time and consider adding instructions such as “tap”.
- My Little Sister wanted to try out the Lens :)

1. Trying to turn my concept sketch into a real Lens was a little challenging. I couldn't figure out how to attach the wings behind me, so I adapted my idea to make the goggles have wings.

Making my first lens was really fun. I was able to draw by hand, upload, and edit in Illustrator.

It felt very empowering to make my first AR lens and see a real result on Snapchat! As a comic artist, I really enjoyed making these drawings and then seeing them come to life on camera!
Next time, I would make my lens better by adding interactive elements based on my face movements (for example, making the pizza disappear when I open my mouth)

This assignment was very easy to put together. I didn't have any issues with navigating through the software and placing the objects on the appropriate marks.

It took a while to get this right because I had to remove the background to isolate the glasses and it was hard to upload the png with the glasses by itself so once it worked I made sure it stuck. Next time it will be easy since I have some new tricks up my sleeve

It was a very fun experience and I was even able to test it on my own face using my phone. It is a big step up from making static lenses like in the warm up and it's cool seeing your images moving along with the face

Making my first Lens was a great learning experience! It was exciting to experiment with all the features, though I did have trouble finding the face editor panel and figuring out how to rotate objects. Overall, I learned a lot along the way.
1. Next time, I'd focus on improving by getting more familiar with the interface. Now that I know where the face editor is and have a better understanding of the tools, I think it would streamline my workflow.

Making this lens was a little bit of a learning curve as the video was from a 4.x versin of the software, and I was working on the 5.1 version of lens studio. At first I was lost, but with time and more understanding - I realized the changes and updates made created an overall better ui for devs. The process was fun and it was mindblowing being able to see my work be transferred onto my phone for me to test out.
I would make my process better by looking at more current tutorial models or videos on youtube that show a step by step process in a 5.x version. Aside from that, I believe more planning and further development can always create a better product!

In this design, I created a lens with these glasses. Honestly, when I started I found it hard to get their position right, but after becoming more comfortable with lens studio I found myself being able to understand how to apply the filter better and I was able to create this lens!

This give me a general idea of how to tackle the project for a more interactive feel.

Making this lens taught me not everything will be perfect the first time and that is okay!!! You will encounter some errors and difficulties along the way but it is our job to find out what went wrong and learn from our mistake. Also since he was using a older version of lens studio on the tutorial video it was a bit hard to follow along since I have the 5.1 version however I managed to figure out the software and where the proper tools are located.

It was slightly frustrating since the tutorials were outdated. But by playing around with all the buttons on Lens Studio, I figured out how to create a simple 2D lens.
I would add more user interaction with assets that match the theme.

What was it like to make your first AR Lens?
It was a good and fun experience! It was a bit hard to navigate at first with all the nuances to it. But with the tutorial and other online tutorials, I was able to understand the basics quickly.
How would you make it better for next time?

I created a green nose tracking AR lens. While making it, it was very hard for me to understand and navigate the Lens Studio but I did overcome those technical difficulties. For next time, I will try to add some fun animations!

It was not as hard to make my first filter as I had initially thought. I found it enjoyable to browse all the available assets and use them to make a lens easily.

I added coffee cups to my fall crown compared to my initial version of just pumpkins and leaves. I enjoyed this lesson as it was fun to incorporate different elements together! I would like to add more components int he future and event make different crown collages for different holidays/occasions!

Making my first lens was really interesting. The lens studio software is very responding and it's very easy to use. Can't wait to experiment more with it.
Definitely there is room for improvement, but next time I can add more 2 dimensional images to the screen to make it look more cool. I tried to do a simple one for mine because it's my first time and I like Aesthetic things.

I've made lenes prior but going back to my first one I've always thought it was fun and when i get the finished product its always great.

I wanted to make something different for my 2D submission. I like retro funk, and it really can make creating fun, so I decided to do a distorted 2d creation. It is not doing too much - but just enough to add some 🤬 to your favorite content. I loved making this lens, getting comfortable with system helps in becoming a better creator.
