(3) If you learn to be attentive and reverent, "then you will find devotion, the singularly moving way in which God works in that situation, revealing goodness and fragility, beauty and truth, pain and anguish, wisdom and ingenuity."

The "Continuous Quality Improvement" term traditionally used by Ignatius of Loyola* and the Jesuits,* suggesting the spirit of generous excellence in which

ministry should be carried on. [See A.M.D.G. - "For the greater glory of God."]

by talking on a regular basis (e.g., monthly) with someone they can trust. This person acts as

a guide (sometimes also called a spiritual friend, companion, or director) for the journey, helping them to find the presence and call of God in the people and circumstances of their everyday lives. The assumption is that God is already present there, and that another person, a

guide, can help them to notice God's presence and also to find words for talking about that presence, because they are not used to doing so.

These are the type of experiences (experiments) that put young people in touch with God’s dream for humanity and awaken in us, the young Ignatians, yearning and determination, moved and supported by the Spirit of God.

Reflection

Everyone takes time in silence to look back over the day.

The following two rounds are purely for listening. Each person speaks, explaining a little bit about himself or herself in response to a question given out before the meeting. The others only listen to the speaker.

What that person shares is not discussed, but one may ask the speaker to clarify what was said.

How did the day go for me?

Where did I find inner joy today?

Where did I have difficulties?

Round 2

How was the Scripture of the day or Ignatian theme reflected in my day? What did I encounter, experience, or see today as a result?

In the third round, one can enter into discussion about what was said. Still it is not the point to prove oneself right or to convince others of a particular opinion. The purpose is to share experiences and to learn from one another.

Is there anything else I would like to share in light of what I have heard?
