         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Spanish Crown (or monarchy) allowed for Spanish conquistadors to receive a grant which allowed for them to rule over an area or number of natives. This was a form of enslavement which demanded tribute in the form of gold or labor or another tribute. A conquistador's duty beyond ruling was to also convert them to christianity. </div>]]></description>
