Students will discuss in pairs what they two songs have in common. After discussing, students will be presented with the term “allusion” which they will record in their figurative language charts. Students will then be asked to come up with examples of allusions after being given a topic. After reading Act 2, scene 2 from the play "A Raisin in the Sun," students will go on a web-quest to research the myth of Prometheus which is alluded to in that scene. This assignment falls in the Research and Information Literacy at the Adaptation level of the instructional framework.
