Situation teachers can face: " You are very conscientious about planning your lessons, but somehow they never seem to go according to plan. You rarely have time to get through all the material that you had planned. You want to find out why this is happening. "

For this situation, the best approach teacher can use is the teacher journal.

With the journal, teachers can take note about what happens in the class, how every activities were made, how students react to each activities purposed. During the writing process of the teacher journal, teachers will discover various reasons to find out why the time was not enough for every activities he designed. As Richardd J (1994), wirting will be a “discovery process”.

Sometimes the real problem, is that we design correctly the lesson plan, but we spend so much time in the warming up or in others explanations and as a consequence we do not work enough in the principal objectives . As Richard J. (1994) showed an example where a teacher wanted to teach scamming but recognized that she spent too many time in explaining unknown expressions.

To be effective, Richard, recommended that the journal has to be written at least once or twice a week. Anyway if teachers have 10-15 minutes it will be awesome if teachers can write immediately next the class, in order to remember all details of the class. Teachers should write before the class and next the class, to compare the goals with the results. What is the class about, and what activities will be developed can be described and next the class, teachers can answer to some questions like “”

Teachers should review the journal and reserve a space to meditate about what they should improve in their methodology, as well as what they should change because of its lacks of effectiveness. By another hand, teachers should review their journal, every time they will make a new lesson plan, in that way , they will remember items, activities, topics...to take into account for the new class.

You are concerned about one of your students who always avoids sitting near the front of the class. This student seems to be paying attention, but rarely actively participates in the lessons. You are not sure why. Since you have a large class, it is difficult for you to monitor individual students. You want to know what this student's attitude is towards the class.

Depending on the chosen topic, I answer the questions:

Audio and video recordings. Recordings of a lesson, or part of a
lesson.

1. Which of the procedures discussed in that chapter would be the most appropriate to collect information in this regard: teaching journal, lesson reports, surveys and questionnaires, audio and video recording or observation?

For this situation, in the first instance as a teacher we must inquire about medical situations that the student may have, which we can obtain that information directly with the caregivers and the psychologist of the institution, in turn the group director or the teacher who He has more contact with him to verify if his behavior is in all subjects, if there is the same behavior in all of them, we must look for the way and the strategy with which we can attract his attention and achieve the learning we want in the classroom, in which we can use methods of the student's taste, that empathy so that the knowledge is acquired in a meaningful way by the student, such as video and audio recordings in which the student can be involved, magazines in which the student can produce about the topics that he is passionate about.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the procedure you selected?

As an advantage, the teacher's direct approach with the student, knowing from their life as well as their health, being able to achieve a friendship, without forgetting that the adult and the teacher must exist a limit or distance, thus achieving confidence and that the student has a better willingness to receive the class.

After finding the situation for which the student has this behavior, he can obtain and deduce the necessary information, so that he can apply the methodology and learning style to the student, in which he can link everyone at the same time.

As a disadvantage, it can be thought that time would not be enough while investigating and achieving closeness to the student, since as a minor or adolescent they suffer prejudices in which they see teachers as people who only leave them homework and are not human beings. they also have situations, problems and do that out of vocation.

Individual proposal

The teaching profession is, probably, one of the most important in society, in which nowadays for what our planet lives, it is at this time having difficulties and misjudged at this time because parents do not know what the teacher does or how is living this moment, because they do not notice or have seen that the teaching job at this time has increased, and there are teachers who are not with technology which is one of the great fears of teachers in these times where technology is having a fundamental importance in education, from there is where the interest of the teacher to train to improve to surprise their students, to reach each one of them and not just listen but they interact in the best way In this way, where what they teach is significant and is not taken in the easiest way possible, in this situation many parents have also seen and felt the importance of teachers, of the effort to notice the behavior and attitude of their children and everything that the teacher does in the classroom to reach everyone, and teach, accompany and guide them on the path of education, solving thousands of problems that occur on a daily basis, which do not every school day is the same, that not every day their children allow their teacher to come to them. for personal economic family problems, a world within each student. That is why the teaching work is not limited to a class to a text to follow a guideline a line an outline since we are obliged to write to make a difference not to think about a content of a text but to creatively produce what It will make our students great, those future professionals, those people who will run the great companies of the country or why not of the world. From my perspective I am a teacher of informatics and technology in which I must give that subject in English, I have to be prepared for those cases in which children do not understand the language or do not like it because another teacher has marked them with the language, I must have strategies, reach my students with new things that motivate them, provide them with space so they can do what they like the most, a game, music, fun applications, in which they can spend time and achieve that closeness. and provide them with that concentration so they don't get distracted in class.

You are concerned about your students' attitudes toward English and toward language learning. You try to promote positive attitudes toward learning English. You wish to find out what your students' attitudes are and whether they change throughout the duration of a language course.

1. Which of the procedures discussed in that chapter would be most appropriate for gathering information about it: teaching journal, lesson reports, surveys and questionnaires, audio and video recording, or observation?

According to the reading, from my point of view all the procedures are important in teacher´s issues because each one helps us to gather full information about the concern that they have; so to relate that the case I chose, I think that the most appropriate is the surveys and questionnaires; because are useful ways of gathering information about affective dimensions of teaching and learning, such as beliefs, attitudes, motivation, and preferences, and enable teachers to collect a large amount of information relatively quickly.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the procedure you selected

I think that the advantages of these procedures are administered to the class to ask students according to concern that the teacher has and quickly way.

On the other hand, the disadvantages aren´t quite as complete as they think because they need to complement with another procedure, for instance, the observation procedure; because involves visiting a class to observe different aspects of teaching; to be viewed as a positive and negative experience as teachers as students, remember there are two kinds of observation; one of them is the observation by the students and peer observation

My individual proposal

I had an opportunity to teach English before, last year I was teaching English in a private school to grades from fourth to eight of the secondary stage, also I was teaching English to different institutions as an English course option to the learners, now in days I work too as the same job but I have noticed that my experience with the private school was a challenge for me because the school says is a bilingual but isn´t true because not all the teachers speak English only me, but the point is when I was teaching with my lesson plan stipulated to the school I noticed that the students weren´t interested in the English class, because some of them don´t like the subject and others had a well level that the curriculum for them was bored, so also I teaching with a book too stipulated by the school but isn´t as useful as look, so constantly I was living worried because I have thought about your attitude during the class, and low participation with me, at the same time that the others that no were interest about the topic preferred to copy to their partners only to obtain a score for the subject. additionally there was a group especially of seventh grade that the majority were boys and were very undisciplined, talk between them, and were very conflicted.
