It was winter, about 15C [about 59F) we had landed in the evening and went to have dinner right after check in. I ordered a coke because cold drinks in cold weather just makes sense. But out came a cup of heated Coca Cola... what??? Apparently some dude noticed coke sold slower in winter months so he concocted some story that warm coke acted as a remedy for flu and cough.

I lived here for 6 months on exchange, ate so much food and drank so much bubble tea.
Funny story: One Monday morning as I was sitting in class, the teacher approaches me (just me because I happened to the only exchange student in class) and asks me (in Chinese): “Have you been doing well? Have you been to other places in Taiwan? Because I usually see other exchange students skipping classes and disappearing but you’ve been attending my class every week.”

Apparently, you can take the student out of Singapore but you can’t take Singapore out of the student.
