He spent a lot of his time stippling antique pictures but he and his fellow students found recreation in the latter part of each day." (31)</div>]]></description>

He kept a sketchbook with him and would draw people, places, and events that he experienced during the war. According to <em>The Story of E.H. Shepard: The Man Who Drew Pooh</em>, "In the latter part of the conflict he had started to draw civilians and children and this eased his way into the years of peace" (83).&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The table had been founded soon after the paper was born in 1842, to be a gathering of the original founders with one to be chosen as editor" (87).&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Milne throughout the year going over the forest that would be where <em>Winnie the Pooh </em>takes place. <em>Winnie the Pooh</em> was published two years later in 1926. According to The Story of E.H. Shepard: The Man Who Drew Pooh, "Pooh and his chums were to establish themselves as some of the leading characters in the forefront of children's books from that time on" (98).</div>]]></description>

Florence was having a nasal operation to alleviate her asthma as her symptoms had been really bad. She died under the anesthetic and Shepard's "...love of over a quarter of a century had gone- there was a complete void in his life" (104).  </div>]]></description>
