While global discourse emphasizes individualized exploration (78%), regional institutions prioritize career-oriented goals (88%) and national identity markers (79%). The findings highlight discursive flexibility as the key to successfully blending global excellence with cultural uniqueness.

Institutional affiliation: Master’s Degree Student, Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni

This presentation examines how artificial intelligence influences Uzbek-English bilingual communication, focusing on code-switching and linguistic identity. It explores how AI tools such as translators, chatbots, and writing assistants change the way speakers switch between languages in digital environments, making communication both easier and more flexible. The study highlights that AI has a dual effect: it can reduce code-switching through full translations, but also increase it by encouraging hybrid language use. As a result, bilingual speakers develop more dynamic and mixed linguistic identities that combine local and global elements. Based on survey and interview data, the research shows that AI is not only a technological tool but also a social force reshaping language practices, emphasizing the need to balance innovation with the preservation of cultural and linguistic identity.
