         <description><![CDATA[<div>Discussing how many teachers deliver separate units.&nbsp;<br><br>Core set of BTEC teachers working well. Sub team meetings makes organisation easier. Bring in new members each year to integrate them into the program.&nbsp;<br><br>Multiple units at once make it confusing for students. Weighting of unit important when distributing units for teachers to deliver.&nbsp;<br><br>One teacher delivering all units has its own difficulties of more marking and less collaboration.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Templates/writing frames created to assist students with structuring reports.&nbsp;<br><br>Adapting methods of assessment eg making podcasts/videos/presentations instead of writing reports. Changes must be internally verified.<br><br>Briefs do not always cover content in specification.&nbsp;<br><br>Lots of errors in finance assignments. eg Unit 7 - some questions do not provide enough information for students to answer the questions. Not enough information given to create the analysis. eg no opening balance for the cash flow forecast.&nbsp;<br><br>Unrealistic for students to finish all tasks in the time given during the controlled assessments. The time is a 'recommended time' and can be adapted for students requirements.&nbsp;<br><br>One idea is to do all assignments in 'controlled assessment' conditions.<br><br>Criteria/rubrics are now holistic but information is vague.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Discussion of units</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Unit 3 Finance - theory was fine but the calculations were difficult for students because they could not always find the relevant information eg calculating ratios. Setting up a group of parents to provide information to students can help students find businesses that are prepared to give information across different units.<br><br>Unit 23 work experience is a very accessible unit as the content is less heavy compared to other units. Students really enjoy it and build different skills completing tasks and creating evidence.&nbsp;<br><br>Unit 9 team building. Good unit to combine two year groups with fun activities. Unit 4 useful to run alongside Unit 9 when managing an event.<br><br>Is 'double dipping' allowed? Eg students using parts of an assignment in two different units. Not been an issue previously.  <br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
