In all honesty, I could not finish this book. I wanted to challenge myself by reading an older book (this book was published in 1969) but I could barely get past the second chapter. If I could go back in time, I would change my choice for the Chapter Book for this project.

Needless to say, I didn't finish this book. If I had to rate this on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate it a 2/10.

Divergent was just a book I thought of off the top of my head when coming up with books to add to this list. Needless to say, the book is better than the movie. I went in believe that I would prefer the movie, but I was surprised to find myself enjoying the book more.

This book is a classic to me, a classic in the sense of that one time period in middle school where all the "cool" books were Twilight, Hunger Games, Divergent, etc. and how every girl wanted to be a badass female protagonist with two love interests (just me?)

I found the story more suspenseful in the book, I also found the characters more enjoyable and more fleshed out rather than their movie counterparts.

If I had to rate this book on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate it 8/10.

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in the Dungeon, in English) is a manga that has been on my reading list for a while, it has a total of 14 volumes. While I've only read volume 1, it does have an anime adaptation that I started last weekend.

Dungeon Meshi is very lighthearted and silly. The story is; "When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions...and a member! They're eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!" Slimes, basilisks, and even dragon...none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!" (Contributors to Delicious in Dungeon Wiki, Chapters and Volumes | Delicious in Dungeon Wiki | Fandom)

The story is food based, many fantasy cooking scenes are present and the food looks so good (both in book and show) despite being made of monsters.

This book was recommended to me by my big brother, so I decided to add this to my Personal Reading Plan. If I had to rate this book on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate it 9/10.
