We used devising activities and got the actors to understand how to deal with such a challenging peice.
We also played “falling” in an attempt to get our actors more comfortable with their personal spaces, however this is an issue that we need to work on in other lessons using various different activities.

Next lesson we plan to work further on character, using the songs on the padlet page to help get our actors in the mindset of their characters, however this theory work will not take up the whole lesson as it did today, we will hand out scripts and maybe have a read through before working on setting the first scene. 

Overall we are happy with our cast and they seem happy to work with us and help our vision come true .

The aim of the lesson was to apply the last lesson's theory to practicality which our actors did well.
When going over scenes I would stop the actors and use some workshop skills involving the lines to help give the actors an idea of how to get to the level of acting should be aiming for during the show.
We also briefly touched upon the physical theatre aspect of some scenes but this I hope will be explored further in next lesson.
unfortunately I will not be able to attend because of an audition.

I was surprised that our actors had watched the clips on the padlet page and gave their own opinions, on how they would play their characters.
I find this behaviour very important to becoming a competent actor as it shows a level of interest in the piece and an actors independent character creating skills.

When working with the actors on the opening scene I noticed that they most deftly have the skills to perform as good as anyone but are still a little stuck in that robotic GCSE style of learning theatre rather than just playing on stage and seeing what works.

After college on Tuesday the 4th of February I will be doing my first one to one with kyle on his opening monologue which I will do feedback for also.

Overall I am proud of my actors and happy at the amount of work and text we have covered, with any luck we will 
have the benchmarking segment finished and presentable by lesson 4 at least 5 at most.

Were all working to the standard I had expected but I have stressed that we cannot let anything slip and keep the pressure on, simply because I know from my personal experience that sometimes when working a long enough break can be detrimental to the performance.

The one problem I see is the low level of energy sometimes in stage, although this can be explained away by not having time for a proper warm up before the benchmarking show. I still feel like in rehearsals there is a step that all of my cast is still unwilling to take that will push us into the true “In Yer Face” style. However, judging by how far the cast has come I have every bot of confidence saying we can put on the show me and Dylan envisioned all the way back in october.
