This was a really good lesson. Your Prezi made the lesson easy to understand and the incorporation of the video particularly helped the visual learner. I think it would definitely engage students more than a standard PowerPoint. The movement around, once you got used to which way you were going was also good. You could go back to parts etc. I can't think of anything in particular to improve the Prezi. It could definitely be used instead of a PowerPoint and I think I will try this as an alternative. This Padlet also seems to be good, although I had tried to log on and do my own and I didn't find it easy to use at all, but with some practice it may become easier. Overall, I thought this lesson had a good balance of visual aids, information, video and quiz. Excellent, thanks. Suzanne.

I really enjoyed your lesson and found the Prezi easy to use. I found the information clear, easy to read and really enjoyed the video - I learn best this way as I am a visual learner. I found your range of questions useful, and in particular felt challenged on the second on (fill in the missing words) which made me watch the video again and really concentrate.
Use of Padlet for feedback was again easy to use.
This is my first time using Prezi and Padlet and will now try to use in my teaching and learning as feel it would help to increase student engagement.
Well done!
Allana

Loved the Prezi presentation! Particularly liked three things:
Visuals - A range of written, drawings and
photos made the presentation very interesting and appealing.
Content - there were a range of intellectual issues covered in your lesson content and I loved the lightness introduced through humour.
User ease - I can see how this would appeal to a class at varying levels of ability. They could plough through it at there own pace and go back over areas they weren't sure of.
All in all a very successful Prezi!
Jennifer

I'm not necessarily a fan of Prezi but I thought yours had a good balance of information, visuals and activities. Is this something you would go through with students in the classroom, use for independent study or as homework?
I haven't used Prezi with my students yet but did use it to give feedback to the ESOL team and management on my AR last semester.
I like the idea of using Padlet to get feedback from the students at the end of a lesson - I can see all their comments in one place and also they can see each other's comments which could be interesting for them...and it can be anonymous!
Do you use Padlet in any other way?
Carol

Hi Carol - I use the PRezi in class a little bit but am more likely to send the link to students and let them work through it on their own. Most of mine are actually optional revision exercises.

I have never used Padlet before but agree with you - I really like seeing all the information in the same place and think that my classes would enjoy using it.
However I have no doubt that someone would post something inappropriate so it would need to be moderated with the teacher keeping a good eye on it.

Thanks for the feedback - this has been a really helpful exercise!
Cherith
