The environmental issues with Hudson river remind me of pollution issues with the river Yamuna that I grew up next to in India. It is quite heartbreaking to think about the fact that the state/federal government has just not done enough to protect the lives of those who live next to the Yamuna. Fossil fuels and also the drugs that are being flushed are a problem for the water ecosystem.
