There are many benefits to the communications that animals use. For one, it often alerts other of the same species to danger. This is seen when chimpanzees use a warning call to alert their friends and family of danger and get them away safely. It can also be used to help animals mate. Through certain signals, birds and other animals get the attention of another that they are interested in and this results in mating which in turn results in more of the species being created.

This behavior has been adapted to do many things. Things like, alert others to danger, attract mates, and even scare off predators. This signal is passed through generations because it is observed by the young ones, making them mimic the action when needed.

I think that communication through signals is very important. In fact, it is probably the reason that many species are still alive. Without the ability to scare off predators, like a peacock spreading its feathers, the peacock could easily be extict. This could also relate to the birds and how they attract mates, by puff their chest. If they were unable to do that, they may never reproduce, making it to where the species go extinct. In the end, I think that communication signals in nature and on Earth and very important.
