Something that I like about another culture is that of showing respect to other people by taking a bow. Born here in the Philippines but moved to Australia with my parents when we were still kids.

Australia is an immigrant country - which means that on any day that you walk around the city you will hear many different languages because you are surrounded by people who migrated from anywhere in the world.

Australian culture is very different.  coming back to the Philippines to live a few years ago was quite a culture shock that i am still adjusting to.

One thing that i learned about Philippine culture is that people here are more attuned to personal relationships. In Australia our conversations are more about events and ideas, and not so much about personal relationships.  And people here are a lot more conservative, and have a strong bias against socialism. Also, children are brought up differently. In 2016, I studied International Missions in the University of the Nations (UofN) - Bali which is affiliated with Youth a Mission (YWAM) where I got to live with locals in Indonesia, Malaysia and Cambodia as part of our outreach program for almost a year. I have witnessed different customs and cultures from one household and community to another based on race, religion and beliefs. 

Diversity has changed my perspective. I got to see different aspirations in the faces of the people living in different communities of different Asian countries. One culture that I am most fond of in the rural places of Indonesia is the nose to nose greeting which we rub each others' noses to greet local strangers.
