I am fascinated with this new concept of id, the ego, and the superego. Id and superego are like opposites and constantly clashing, it makes sense for there to be a ego to compromise. Its hard to imagine your mind probably does this for every decision you make. In many cases I think it is hard to be perfectly compromised in the ego, especially with two other factors pulling in different directions. In many of my personal decisions I think my superego quickly over powers my mind and suppresses my id (wish) into my unconscious.

I personally think Freud's theory is reasonable. When you think about the people you surround yourself with it affects you as a person, and with id, ego, and the superego the decisions a child makes are reasonable. A child even before birth is connected to their mother, then their id of always wanting their mother creates the ego's compromise of choosing the mother or father to connect with through life. Eventually, even without noticing the child's mind develops a passion to want a human-like the mother/father they previously chose. Overall, in between big decisions, the ego works to compromise between the rage of choosing the mother and developing a sense of a life partner.

Freud's Theory seems to be pretty well laid out. The human mind and personality are both intertwined with each other that it defines who you are as person. You have persuasion, face of reality and all of it works within your growth mindset. You have certain strengths and weaknesses and this theory helps justify it.

I really enjoyed reading over the ego because I feel that it is the main component of your reality and your future self as well.

Sigmund Freud was an Australian neurologist who first purposed the theory of understanding the mind through 3 states. He argued that each section battled for dominance as life progressed. He suggested that the id, ego, and superego were the 3 main areas that determined one’s outcome. The id is the part that is near the unconscious level and is usually things such as personality and pleasures. The ego is correlated with the id. It is essentially a small part of the id that has been changed by society or external factors. The ego takes external factors into consideration in order to decide how it is most appropriate to behave. While the superego is the area that is responsible for judgment. It has the power to control many aspects of the id and influence the ego.

It is quite interesting looking back at life and realizing the majority of the things he states in this theory are highly accurate. However, as we develop our ego and superego start to make a presence and influence the way we look at things.

Such as this particular theory, Freud stated that id, superego, and ego develop at different stages throughout our lives. The id is the most primal, it is made up of all the inherited personality traits that are present at birth. The superego is made up of societal ideals and principles that one learns among others. The ego grows in order to serve as a buffer between the unrealistic id and the external reality. It is the part of the personality that makes decisions.

Freud´s theory reveals the belief of our psyche being three parts: id, ego, and superego. Each section develops at different stages and through varied factors. The id is unconsciously focused on pleasure principles and urges. The ego takes the id mixed into societal and external factors and established behavior. Lastly, judgment is formed through the superego. In this stage, right and wrong are differentiated. The id tends to get overpowered by ego and mostly, by the superego. However, all three compose our personality and form our thoughts and actions.

Frankly, I believe Freud's point is interesting. The id, ego, and superego are the three basic aspects of the theory. Early in life, the id is critical since it ensures that an infant's wants are addressed. For example, If the baby is hungry or uncomfortable, he or she will cry until the demands are met. When these desires demand gratification, young newborns are completely governed by the id. The ego is guided by the reality principle, which aims to fulfill the id's desires in a realistic and socially acceptable manner. Before acting on or abandoning impulses, the reality principle considers the advantages and disadvantages of an activity. The superego tries to perfect and civilize our behavior. It works to suppress all unacceptable urges of the id and struggles to make the ego act upon idealistic standards rather than upon realistic principles. Our behavior is being perfected and civilized by the superego. It strives to make the ego act on idealistic ideals rather than actual principles by suppressing all of the inappropriate inclinations. The conscious, precocious, and unconscious all contain the superego. It's vital to remember that the id, ego, and superego are not three different entities with clearly defined boundaries while discussing them. These factors are dynamic and constantly interact to shape a person's overall personality and conduct. It's worth noting that Freud believed that an imbalance between these aspects would result in a personality that was manipulative.

Freud's theory makes perfect sense to me. Many of my questions regarding personality and mental consciousness were answered by his ideas. His claims are reasonable and easy to agree with. The older we get, the more our ego and superego begin to assert themselves and impact how we perceive things. The individuals we interact with have a significant impact on our thoughts, actions, and personalities. I find it amazing that your mind is nearly always traveling through the three stages of the theory: ID, ego, and superego.

Freud's theory of the id, ego, and the superego is very interesting as well as reasonable. It is very interesting to know that we use this theory in our everyday lives when we are making decisions and we hardly ever realize that this theory is being used. As we grow in age, we begin to develop more superego to make more wise decisions, such as choosing the more healthy option when given the option of candies or apples. However, when we are young, we hardly ever consider the consequences of our actions, but rather focus on instant gratification (Id). I think the ego is the most interesting out of the 3 since it considers both options (Id and Superego) before making a decision through the compromise of both.

I had never heard of Freud’s theory until now and it sounds really interesting. The thought that the ID, ego, and superego are what makes a personality seems like a really good thought. As I understand the ID and superego contradict each other then the ego balances both of them out. The ID does make sense because there are times when we make irrational decisions based on a second of happiness that we will receive afterwards. As for the ego it thinks more about the aftermath as well, it's a compromise of the ID and superego. Then the superego is about knowing what is wrong to do. As a result our superego allows us to know behavior that is more socially acceptable.

Freud's Theory is composed of the three different stages that include id, ego, and superego. Through these three stages, Freud claimed that it would determine what kind of person one would be. One that is most important is id. It is something that it given to us as young as infants when we have wants and are granted with them. Ego is connected to id as it grows and changes with different situations throughout one's life. This determines how we behave based on these changes. Superego is the factor that takes part in our overall judgment since it is based on external situations. The superego has the ability to overpower both the id and ego.

Freud's theory is reasonable since it clearly defines how we base our decisions throughout our lives. Freud's theory explains our thought processes as we grow older with the Id, Ego, and Superego. This allows us to know more about why older generations think more wisely when making their decisions than newer generations. Freud makes it clear that the Superego and Id become more used during certain time periods in our lives. Therefore, Freud's theory is reasonable since it makes sense and is accurate since we can prove it to be true based on past experiences where we used one of the three aspects to make a decision.

Freud proposed a theory composed of three things which were id, ego, and superego. Id, ego, and superego determined what someone’s outcome would be. The superego would be in charge of our judgement.

The Freud's Theory consists of the three following: ID, Ego, and Superego. Freud believes that everyone's personality revolves around the three different stages. The ID is the first step that starts during birth. Since ID is mainly about pleasure and gratification, it is very obvious that babies only have this since they only eat, sleep, and poop. If they don't have any of them, they won't be satisfy and they begin to cry. The second stage is Ego. Ego is almost the same as ID, but reality and knowing about the outside world affects the changes of it. Depending on the situation a person is going through, the choices is affect because of it. The third stage is Superego. Superego can overpower ID and Ego because this affects our internal choices. For example if you made a choice and it leads to be a bad one, it can cause the person to feel guilt. Superego is mainly in charge of our judgement.

Freud's hypothesis is effy because it makes logic and corresponds to prior experiences in which we made decisions based on one of the three factors. On the other hand, it is very hard to test to create evidence to back p that these three factors are what make people react in certain ways. We are still able to see patterns within people and how they make decisions. id, the ego, and the superego are not physically tests but a person's behavior can be result by their life story and what they have experienced since they were born. All of these factors work together to produce unique individuals and connect to their future decisions and behaviors towards others.

Since this is my first time learning about Freud's theory, I have learned a lot about what this theory entails. The ego and superego's growth is what empowers humans to regulate their basic id's instincts and act in realistic and socially acceptable ways. Freud's theory is very detailed and is able to open people's eyes to how humans work. The id is a portion of the personality that is preoccupied with meeting current wants. The ego is an element of the personality that seeks to satisfy personal desires while taking into account the facts of life. Finally, the superego is a component of one's identity that represents the values of society.

According to Freud, the ego develops from the id and ensures that the impulses of the id can be expressed in a manner acceptable in the real world. The id is the only component of personality that is present from birth. This aspect of personality is entirely unconscious. The last component of personality to develop is the superego. The superego is the aspect of personality that holds all of our internalized moral standards and ideals. All of these play a part in how Victor Frankenstein acts. It think it is very interesting how Freud came about his theory because it is something that people should better understand

Freud's theory is that our mind has three areas of desire that could take over at any point. These three parts of the mind are Id, Ego, and Superego. Id is the part that is impulsive and wants to get things done fast. The ego is the part that thinks more rationally about decisions before making them. The superego is on the opposite end of the spectrum. It is the part of your mind that is very self-deprecating and judgemental of your thoughts and opinions. This is the part of your mind that thinks of social judgments that may occur.

These three parts are what we make our decisions based on. Whether this is good or bad. This also determines the type of person we are. ID is the part of the personality that goes after gratitude and pleasure. Ego is the personality that is aware and takes responsibility for its actions. Superego is when the mind feels guilt and anxiety due to an action or choice that was made.
