Fluffy specks
dancing in the air
through the windshield 
and mirrors. 

A red light glows 

Clung clung clung,
the breaks lick gravel. 

Beep beep beep,
the car lost traction. 

Slipping, sliding.
Somehow forward and sideways.

Held breath, stiff arms...

bright glossy posters on the wall i hear my shoes click down the hall butterflies like my first day then i feel old but new to be here again

Relief, I am welcomed! AT happy to see me. 
I feel comfortable there, barely uneasy.
Before classes start, I am revive plenty of kindness. 
Though I will soon discover this classroom is mindless 

At is Kind to me, but Rude to the kids. 
No pressure on me, but no preparation in the lessons. 
Santa's not real, and you can't talk out of turn.  
This classroom seems broke, and it's not my role to fix it.
