First off you will need a place to build a dam that will collect the energy from the water (choose a place where there is running water)

Then what it does is that the water will run through the blades of the turbine that then will spin with the force transferring the energy of the water to the turbine.

The spinning turbine will then transfers the energy to coils of wire that will spin throught a magnetic field making electricity in which the generator connecting it will store it.
