workers should have been compensated for what they had gone through.
They should have done more to get more privileges in their work.

These unions were a good way of peacefully protesting against the harsh working conditions they endured. Workers would often protest against child labour, bettering the work environment, more equipment and materials, making jobs safer, less hours, and higher pay. Thousand of workers were in labour unions but, only a few success, many, were still struggling with trying ton fix the situation.
