In 1898, he surprised everyone at an exhibition by using radio waves to control a small boat in a pool of water. People thought it was magic, but it was actually science! This invention was the beginning of the technology we use today for TV remotes, drones, and even toy cars."

I love eating bamboo. I eat bamboo every day. I am very good at climbing trees, and I spend most of my time in trees. The trees are my home and keep me safe.

But now I am in danger. People cut down forests, so I lose my home. Some people hunt animals like me. Climate change also makes life hard for us.

Please help me! You can protect forests, keep nature clean, and learn more about animals like me. When you protect me, you protect our planet too.

When I grew up, my country was in a very dark place. There were enemies everywhere and our freedom was in danger. I became a soldier to protect my home. I told my nation: 'Independence or death!' We fought many difficult battles, but we never gave up. Together, we founded the Republic of Turkey.

But being a soldier was not enough. I wanted my people to be modern and smart. I changed the alphabet so everyone could learn to read. I opened new schools and told everyone that science is the only true guide in life. I also made sure that women and men have the same rights, because a nation cannot move forward if half of it stays behind.

I trust children more than anyone else. That is why I gave you April 23rd as a gift. You are the future of this Republic. My body will one day be dust, but the Republic of Turkey will live forever because of you.

​I Defied with My Telescope: While everyone claimed "the Earth is the center," I saw the moons of Jupiter and the mountains of the Moon. The sky was not a smooth divinity; it was a geography waiting to be explored.

​The Inquisition and Defiance: I was tried in Rome because of my ideas. I was forced to kneel and renounce my theories, but as I left the court, I left history with that famous whisper: "Eppur si muove" (And yet it moves).

​I ended my life under house arrest, as a blind old man, but never letting the light in my mind fade away. I believed in experimentation and observation, not authority. They call me the father of science; yet, I am simply a man who looks upward.
