Solutions

1)Farmers should be given adequate knowledge about latest farming techniques.

2)Government should give subsidy in fuel and energy prices, seed and fertilizers should be subsidised.

3) Government should take care of neglected areas in farming.

4)Seminars and awareness programs should be conducted to create awareness about global warming and Climatic changes.

5)Better infrastructure should be provided.

Declining in Farming of Pakistan

Lack of investments and support for the sector, the impact of climate change, and the declining availability of water. Climate change has also a significant impact on agriculture in Pakistan, leading to a decline in the sector

Why there is declining :

Rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and increased frequency of extreme weather events have all had negative impacts on agriculture in Pakistan . In Pakistan, climate change has led to reduced crop yields and production, as well as increased incidences of crop failure.

The main causes are :

1 . Because population is increasing.

2 . High prices of crops.

3 . Lack of awareness and education.

4 . Less machinery .

5 . Rising temperatures , droughts, extreme weather events.

Solutions :

1 . Investing in infrastructures.

2 . Irrigation systems .

3 . Storage facilities .

4 . Providing access to credit .

5 . Financing for farmers .

The question that was given to us is :-

Why is the rate of farming decreasing in Pakistan?

My answer of this is given in points below:-

1. One of the main reasons for the decline in agriculture in Pakistan is the lack of investment in the sector. The government's focus on other industries, such as manufacturing and services, has resulted in a lack of funding and support for agriculture

2. Another main reason is the increased automation of basic farming operations. With the advent of new technology, many tasks that were once done by hand are now done by machine and/or technology. This change has decreased the need for farm workers, and as a result, less workers are required on farm.

3. Pakistan's average crop yield is 2 metric tons per hectare, which is much lower than the global average of 4 metric tons. This is mainly due to outdated farming methods, the use of obsolete technology and the shortage of quality seeds.

4. Limited access to financing is another reason. Only a small percentage of the farmers have access to Institutional Finance which obstructs their productivity.

the agriculture sectot still contributes a significianf amount to Pakistan economy by providing jobs to half of the population.However,various problems hindering its growth.The government has taken various intiatives to address these problems and encouaraging foreign invsetment in the agriculture sector.

Our question was why is the PRODUCTION OF PAKISTAN DECLINING?

Pakistan is an agricultural country closely related to farming and livestock etc.

So over the few years a lot of problems have occurred for these Pakistani farmers.

There is a list of problems and their solutions below.

THE PROBLEMS:

1)The lack of irrigational facilities provided by the government to the farmers. Leading to undergrown field and less crop production

2)Waterlogging and salinity. If a too high amount of water gets stuck in the fields might damage the crops and result in loss for the farmers.

3)Increasing of population. As you may know that Pakistan is a overly-populated country so their is more land covered by people than it should be. It may not seem like such a big problem but it can effect the crop growth by demand.

4)Lack of educated farmers. According to a survey in 2022 it states that around 52.4 percent of Pakistan's farmers are not educated leading to handling problems incorrectly.

5)Global warming. Along the years the temperature of Pakistan has risen up to 25%. This leads to the fields getting severely overheated.

THEIR SOLUTIONS:

1)The government handing out irrigation facilities. The government needs to hand out irrigation facilities to the farmers. The farmers will instantly find a difference in the production of crops.

2)Funding of the public and government.

We shall collect money from the public and government for the farmers and donate it to the farmers . This will improve their lifestyle and maybe we will see a difference in their performance.

3)Giving free educational facilities.

The government needs to give free education to the farmers so that they also can be educated and handle all the major problems with ease.

4)Controlling extra and use less water.

They need to have a permanent control on the extra and useless water to avoid further water-related problems.

5)Controlling pollution and weather related problems.

If we have a successful control over pollution we will have a very big advantage because pollution is the major reason behind global warming and such problems.
