My goal is to have a better sense of music, creating harmony with the higher parts and lower parts of my instrument. I can achieve my goal by focusing on my higher strings to be in harmony with the violins. Also, I can focus on my deeper, lower strings that match up with the cellos. I also aspire to be more acquainted with vibrato.

As my group and i find pieces, that suit our individual instruments, we struggle with melodies, and when different instruments come in at different times. However by clapping out notes and practicing our melodies we fell into place. and this project made me grow as a musician and love my instrument more as I played the pieces with my group members. As we rehearsed more and more, I heard the melodies of the pieces , and it became harder and harder for me to get off tempo or stumbled on the notes like in the first days.

Everyday, I learned more about me and my instrument. My group and I changed our pieces a lot whether it was because the piece was too long or too intricate for someone. That was one of the most important things I learned through this project. The work in group projects aren't going to be easy, but if you partnered with good friends you will be okay, such as when I did the solo for in Fantasia. Like anyone I was scared to be the center of attention in the piece because my group's musical reputation was in my hands. I couldn't stop thinking about, "What if I mess up the notes" or "What if I cause my group to get off tempo because I speed through the notes?" However, I realized that I had the support of all my friends around me and they believed in me to play those 6 measures to the best of my ability. Even though my fingers were slippery from nervousness, I slurred all notes I was supposed to, and I hit very C natural. So yes, the piece was hard especially because before the project I hadn't picked up the piece since the night of the concert I played it, but when you have the support of your friends, you can achieve anything.
