         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Half of your plate should be filled with fruits and vegetables and the other half should be split between grains and dairy.</div><div>2. If you are having a beverage you should choose water or milk because they have lots of nutrients and are healthy. <br>3. Every single day you should drink 8 glasses of water<br>4. You should limit processed foods or foods with lots of sugar, sodium, and saturated fats<br>5. Try to grow fresh fruits and vegetables in your garden as those are those are the most healthy for you<br>6. Every meal you should have a variety of the three food groups - fruits and vegetables, grains, and protein <br>7.  Choose foods with healthy fats instead of saturated fats<br>8. Try to cook your meals at home instead of eating out because home cooked meals are more fresh<br>9. Boys need more fruits and vegetables than girls do<br>10. Instead of milk you can have vitamins, almond milk and more. <br>4. The last edited food guide was in 2007 a year before we were born and this year 2019 it was edited. <br>5. You should drink about 8 glasses of water a day. You do not want to drink too little or too much<br>6. Water is the preferred liquid to juices and all sugary drinks. <br>7. Eating with family, friends, etc may help with your mental health<br>8. You should make healthy homemade meals other than junky fast food. <br>9. The new food paper says have quarter plate proteins, quarter plate whole grains, and half a plate of fruits and veggies.<br>10. try not to have processed foods and have healthy non processed.  </div>]]></description>

One of the changes they made was they got rid of one of the food groups<br><br>3. Half of your plate should be filled with fruits and/or vegetables<br><br>4. Things like almond milk, soy milk, etc. can be good replacements for people who can't drink/don't like milk<br><br>5. It's important to drink at least 8 cups of water each day<br><br>6. Your body needs to mostly consume fruits and vegetables <br><br>7. You shouldn't consume foods that are processed because they are high in sugar and sodium<br><br>8. Everyday, you should at least have 1 meat and alternatives product<br><br>9. It's better to eat real fruits over juices because there's less added ingredients, and it's more natural<br><br>10. Having whole grain products is preferred over regular grain produces (whole wheat bread over white bread)</div>]]></description>
