I think we need to practice our answers to questions from judges. We were good when talking to them but our answers tended to be repetitive and information was left out. Both our Promote and Compass videos could probably be redone, I was impressed by other teams’ professional voiceovers and the points they got across.

We could really improve with strategy  as well as we need a relic arm to push us that much further. I think that we could improve on having more 4717 members answer more questions that the judges ask and not have the other team’s members answer the majority. We did do well when it comes to cheering in the stands for our team but we could work on cheering for other teams like some of the Florida teams like KNO3 or Pink team. I also feel like our pit was fantastic visually wise and also in information wise. The pit really brought a lot of people in and told them about us. Overall, there were many good things but also things to be improved upon to set us apart and maybe help us win INSPIRE at worlds

What went well was being able to continue onto worlds. Also how many judges came by to talk with us. We need to improve what to say when judges come by and ask about outreach and connecting with stem. Also not having the same group of people answering the questions. If we solidify those parts and improve the robot talk a little bit more we can be in the run for inspire. Make sure we are also on our best behavior.

Not only did I get to meet so many new people and teams that I had not previously known, but being in media allowed me to have a close up view. As a whole, it was a great experience for all of us really, to be able to hang out with HazMat too. We had a great run, getting the high score of the day (at the time it happened) with KNO3, among other things. It would be great if the drive team had more practice than what they got, especially with the far cryptobox. Another thing to improve on is to be able to get the glyphs out of the pit without getting all of the minor penalties that we had gotten. Although we knew what our alliance partners could do before the matches, it wasn't until queuing that both teams talked to each other about what they would be doing on the field. If that happened next time, we could be a little more prepared for the match. To contend for INSPIRE, definitely cheer for other teams as well as us, and instead of having the same group of people answering questions for judges, have the others on the team educated about what is going on as well and teach them how to talk to the judges with sample questions that they could ask? As far as our achievements, it’s great to win the innovate award and have so many people so interested in our robot, thanks to the reveal video that showcased our unique design. However, in order for 4717 to answer more of the questions, they need to be educated in topics as well, so maybe before we go we can brief everyone on everything to ensure all members, 4717 or not, will have the proper knowledge. If we can dial in these small things and ensure everyone’s on their best behavior, the we could WIN an award at worlds!

Drew did a great job of informing the drivers before every match, but a picture would take it to the next level. Also it would be nice if we could quickly connect a laptop with the CAD to that one monitor for when the judges come. Overall we were pretty organized but we could work on being on time a bit more. Scouting was well done especially by Drew and Tom and there was always people in the pit to respond to judges. I think we should have every member that travels learn a little bit about the robot besides what they already know so we don’t have to continually refer them to Nico and possibly change out people who stay in the pit. We had teams coming to get things that we were able to supply quickly to earn us good gp, and I think that reflected very well.
