I was a village resident in my childhood days. My village was a peaceful place where one can see people own a kind and selfless heart, many paddy fields, different types of cultivations, and a small river which is passing through the middle of our village from which people took water for agricultural purposes. The common behavior among our villagers is standing together and to help each other to overcome the difficulties. I still remember my good olden days, when I had to walk a few kilometers from my house to my school with my friends and cousins through the alley of the village and some unmetalled roads. Throughout the journey to school from home and back, we saw many struggles faced by villagers and some other interesting things that can be seen in villages only. The main problems were electricity and unmetalled roads. It takes at least one day or two for the electricians to restore the electricity connection properly after a heavy rainfall or due to falling of trees on electric lines. The unmetalled roads become the worst part when we want to reach the hospital quickly. Life will become more miserable during the rainy season. Agricultural lands, roads, and everything nearby the river will sink in water as a result of its overflow. People will carry children on their shoulders to cross the river which helps the students to reach school on time.
One of the special times in our village life is evening time. Every day during the evening time people living in different areas of our village will go to their agricultural fields to take care of their crops, to provide fertilizers, and to pour water for their crops. People enjoyed the evening time and spent more time without showing hesitation to work on the land. Because that was an opportunity for peoples to spend some time free from all the problems and to talk with friends and family members. Those tiny talks and valuable times eventually make everyone a better person and a hard worker, and I believe this will lasts for their entire lifetime. This is the reason why people living in villages are so true to themselves and possess a great bond with everyone and everything. Living in villages is very difficult, but that doesn’t mean people are not happy or don’t like what they are doing. Living through the struggles and deprivation plays a major role in making them confident enough to face any challenges. Life becomes difficult only when we think that it is difficult.

I feel villages, on the whole, symbolizes hard work, unity and authenticity. A lot of mutual learning can be enhanced. Nowadays, there is sort of a clear cut difference or preconception as to what a village is and isn't.
Villagers do lack certain access which we take for granted now.
Basic necessities are miles away instead of a tap away or worst case, none. Education will rarely be encouraged to ensure that there is food in the plate everyday. But that is slowly changing right now. Villagers display lack of awareness as well.
Mud or brick houses can be visible. They earn a living through agriculture, labor work etc. There are children who dream big and always curious about their surrounding as well.
Whatever big profound problems we face and struggle to find a solution, it is little to them and they can find an easy solution in a jiffy. It is all about how we perceive things.
