In the article "We have 12 years to limit climate change catastrophe, warns UN", Watts (2018) warns people about the dangerous predicted affects of global warming which are highly dangerous, but he suggests that people have solutions like reforestation, changing to electric transport and cutting to carbon pollution.The author starts by stating global warming's affects such as drought, floods. Following this, he warns that changing temperature from 1.5C to 2C would affect not only people, but also animals and environment. He concludes by stating that climate change is a big problem. However, there are many solutions for solving this problem which are reforestation, electric transport and less carbon dioxide.

Watts (2018) draws the readers' attention to dangerous affects of global warming, and he suggests the solutions to encourage solving this issue which are reforestation and cutting the carbon pollution.Watts' argument is quite convincing since increasing carbon emission has a direct impact on global warming which has many affects on environment, animals, and human. Carbon pollution should be decreased by policymakers like restricting carbon emission for factories because the biggest aeffect on carbon pollution is factories' prodcution (work is used for art and literature)~~works~~. The factories produce their goods by creating ~~with doing~~ carbon emission. If they decrease it, they make less good, and they don't want to reduce it~~. B~~because of that reason, policymakers should have an authority on factories. They should set rule for less carbon pollution. Additionally, reforestation can be helpful for reducing carbon pollution because it releases oxygine (check spelling) into the air, and makes air ~~more~~ cleaner. If societies plant more trees and reduce carbon emission,they will encourage global warming partially.

First of all, s/he states that according to Paris agreement countries' pledge to stabilize temperatures between 1.5C and 2C. If these limitations are exceeded, its results can be mortal. Some of these result are water stress and food scarcity. However, the author warns that the main problem can be about nature. Most of plants and animals can take fatal damage and this automatically affect people's life and s/he claims that reforestation and electric transport system can be solution. For this situation, people produce more electricity with another harmful ways which may damage the planet . In addition, reforestation can not be a solution because people don't care existent green places. As long as forest is covered with plastics and waste products, this also damages environment in another way. Thus, although Watts's argument seems convincing, these measures ~~prevention~~ can not be solution as long as people's demands are limitless.

Watts (2018) draws the readers' attention to the global warming that is increasing dramatically and more than people actually expect. Emmot's arguments are quite reasonable and convincing because when the global warming ~~amount~~ is between 1.5 and 2C , It mostly causes food scarcity, lack~~ing~~ of clean water in poor countries which are already suffering from warm weather. It is a severe problem for their resources which are limited for their survivalor. ffor instance, the forests which feed and provide essential supplies for people by giving fruit and materials are almost to be lost half their habitat at 2C. Moreover, global warming has a big negative impact on oceans in many ways he says. To exemplify ~~this he gives some examples to be considered for example,~~ Corals will be lost at the higher of the two temperatures and also at this temperatures, fishes will be losted two times more than now (so you need to explain why this is risky and what will the results? You need to mention your reasons.). He emphasizes that the global warmıng has many dangerous effects which are harmful for the world (explain what are these risks?). Therefore, It will be late for the world if the people don't become aware of this problem.

Emmott (2015) draws the readers’ attention to the causes and the results of overpopulation which threaten the world resources and humankind’s survival. I agree / Personally I agree with Emmott (informal) / Emmott makes a valid point / Emmott’s argument is quite convincing / Emmott has a reasonable argument because when the world population rises, the demand for food rises too=there is direct correlation between the population rise and food demand. In order to produce more food, farmers need to use more water, to take underground water and to work with soil they need machines that run with petrol. When they produce, at the same time they consume too many limited resources like fresh water and petrol. Emmott exemplifies the urgency of the problem by stating that 70% of the world useable water is now used for food production. However, the author fails to consider the “balance” factor. He claims that the poorer nations’ population grows so fast and this poses a serious risk for the world sustainability. When the countries and their consumption habits are considered, it can be clearly seen that the developed nations consume the limited resources more than the poorer nations. For example, a villager in Malawi goes to his farm on foot, but a man in İstanbul has to take the bus or go to work in his own car. Also technology can be considered, everyday white collar workers spend at least eight hours in front of laptops consuming electricity, but a villager in India does rarely use electricity when s/he works. Therefore, it will be wrong to state that only the numbers are important and they should be considered. Consumption patterns of the nations should be analysed in depth.

Watts (2018) draws the readers attention to the importance of climate change. Which even a half degree change will threaten the world like drought, floods, extreme heat and poverty. Watts has a reasonable argument because the risks of climate change is already happening and getting worse and worse everyday. If authorities do not takes the necessary major precautions, hundred of people will face water stress ~~stress about water~~, they will be in face the risk of climate-related poverty. The greatest damage will be to NATURE (upper case means shouting in netiquette) !! Like most of the animals or insects which have vital duty will loset their habitats and it will cause them to die~~eath~~. Also corals would be lost (how will they affect us?). Sea level is getting higher and that would affect people in a bad way. Acidity in oceans is a problem we already ~~trying to~~ suffer (how will they affect us?). Last but not least oxygen levels are rising (isn't this something good?). These are some problems like Watts mentions and which makes a quite valid for world for each of us. The relevant climate scientist have warned the world.

Watts has a quite satisfiying argument owing to the fact that climate change has already becoame a major issue and degree of the weather increasing sharply day by day. Roberts (as citied in Watts,2018) say "It's a line in the sand and what it says to our species is that this is the moment and we must act now." (use double quotation marks and page number here). Personally ı agree with this idea (informal expressions), because in the current state of world, people are forgetting what is important now (state what is important now). With the alarm of the science community people need to understand that we are in the crucial times,climate is changing all over the world,natural events and carbon pollution~~s are~~ is increasing (explain why these are critical?) .For these ~~this~~ reasons people and governments need to set aside their personal interest of their profit and take action about it.Reforestation is the main path to overcome these ~~this~~ problems.It can help to solve climate change problem (you need to explain how? and why? .Also electric transport system will help to resolve carbon pollution.With the usage of electric transport system carbon usage will be less in future.

Although it is a good solution to prevent climate change, I think (informal) it is a tough solution. Electric cars are more expensive than gasoline cars, even if they are used with climate-damaging substances such as gasoline or gas, so it will be very difficult to direct people to electric cars. We will need the state contribution to direct people to the electric car (the idea is not clear because of grammar). it will be easier to prevent climate change as cars will be easier to direct people if they become more affordable.

Watts, (2018) wrote this article to take readers' attention to global warming. He is worried about the world’s situation and people’s carelessness ~~for~~ about ~~the~~ global warming. Roberts (as cited in Watts, 2018) “It’s a line in the sand and what it says to our species is that this is the moment and we must act now” (p.25) She is right because if people will continue to live like this ~~do like~~ now, the world is going to collapse ~~be end irrevesibly~~. People should be aware of this alarm and take steps to ~~contribute to~~ prevent world from carbon pollutions,climate changing ~~etc.~~Therefore administrators and people who care about this issue,have to take a responsibility and try to solve this problems.For example, they can start do reforestation or stop to use chemicals which are harmful to global warming.

Watts(2018) highlights the effects of global warming which is dangerous even the world gets 1.5c warmer and shows the impacts of the situation in the nature if it occures more in our lives. Reports shows that if the world gets 1.5c warmer, the level of water will decrease half and half and became 50% lower than at 2c. Accordingly the poor countries will became much ~~more~~ poorer and food scarcity will decrease in the poor countries because of the lack of water automatically. Greate difference will be in the nature because even the insects which are neccessary for human will lose half their habitat.Furthermore sea level rise will ~~parallelly~~ this affects more than 10 million more people by 2100.
The author warns us ~~with~~ by showing us different results of what global warming will make to on our nature and habitat and demonstrates the importance of even 1.5c is really important ~~for become in a worser situation~~! I tottally agree with his arguments (informal expression). People should be aware of this problem and start to move for not losinge our nature and our descendantsce.
