These lies are spread by many false media and even the President who doesn't believe in the virus. Of course there are always chaotic things happening, but in the span of 7 months, countless amount of things have occurred that will forever change our lives. To me the most relevant essential question in our country is What does it mean to be a “good” person and how should society respond when someone doesn’t behave this way?
When people fight for what they need, for what they know is right I think that is what a good person in the world right now represents. With all of the BLM movements you can see how many people do care. But when people don't talk about it or believe that all lives matter than that causes a lot of controversy. The hardest part was that they were forced to lie and drag someone into it or die having told the truth. The little girls, including Abigail were only wanting to be there to either stir up trouble, because they decided to abuse the trust and power they were given. In Act 4 of The Crucible, John Proctor was locked up due to his call to arrest by Judge Danforth. Three months after being in jail, he gets to talk to Elizabeth, where he admits that he deserves to be treated the way he is being treated, as a guilty person. Guilty people end up imprisoned. He believes that he is no longer a "good" person because of his affair with the now absent Abigail. John Proctor holds such a high status throughout his society, his hanging would cause a riot throughout Salem, simply because of his status. Although he views himself as a guilty person because of his past actions, his community believes that he doesn't need to be hanged and he is in fact a good person. At the border, they stole children from their parents then put them in cages. They have created mass hysteria for people who believe their lies and immigrants who are trying to live their lives. When the pandemic started, Trump started lying about COVID being a hoax, “china virus”, called COVID the “kong flu”, after having COVID lied that COVID makes people better, and COVID is “going to fade away” one day. The Crucible took place in a puritan town where God's word influenced the area but, the people who preached his word, like priests, were able to take that influence and give themselves a platform. Like in The Crucible, today, the people who hold power abuse that power and hurt their citizens  in order to remain on top.
