Early morning was when he got shot. Narrator noticed he was shot with a rifle (Remington). Narrator is one of the friends. Grant and all of his intoxicated friends. Characters were frightened and scared because they were worried about Grant. All friends act guilty about it.  They are all wondering who actually did it and are curious. Something they leave out is who actually shot him why they didn't see Grant.
