Black History is not just for October. Trying to fit this vast history into a few weeks just doesn't make sense. To what extent do you agree?

I agree as it should not just be a month, it should be celebrated all year around just like British and American history because black people have as much history as white people.
The history of black peoples and what they went through slavery, colonisation is severe and it has the same importance as British and American history and should be taught just as much as they speak about British and American history.
R.

I agree with this statement because black history month is an important month and everyone can learn and gain more knowledge about the black history in society. Also black history month only comes in one month in a year so people should take their time to celebrate it and learn stuff and show respect towards black history month

Black history month isn't just for black people to celebrate, but for all races especially whites, to educate themselves and learn about the really difficult times of discrimination and segregation black people went through. so yes, I agree with this statement.
we are now in 2020 and yet there is still so much racism in the world, of course its not everyone, but the people that do discriminate, just because the colour of black people's skin isn't the same as theirs, live as if they are saying the right things when in reality they're not.
Racism towards black people has gone on for generations but most people either chose to ignite the racism or just ignore it. How are we as human beings allowed to treat people differently, that by itself is bullying but to bring somebody's race or religion into it that is where the line of racism begins.
For black people to have had generations of racism thrown at them continuously is sickening, but what is even more sickening is that we only give black people one month to get the recognition they deserve and for other races to learn about it. black history month should be the same as any other races' recognition time which is all year, giving them just one month proves that racism still exists. Do we really want the future generations of this planet to go through the same fait as all the others before? ill let you think about that...
